Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is a nice game to play if you enjoy the series or got nothing else to do. The main factor of this game is mostly the PS5's SSD by how quick the SSD can load things and also worlds at the same time which is still very impressive when playing. Graphics look beautiful when playing on quality or even performance mode which is a good thing. This game uses the Dualsense adaptive triggers with each weapon working differently with different pressure which feels great and also doesn't feel annoying when using any weapon. Weapons in this game is not bad but the thing is that once you find your 4 weapons of choice, those weapons will pretty much be the only weapons that you will use in the entire weapon unless you're trying to get the platinum trophy. The new character to play as is Rivet which is a nice character to play during your playthrough and with character development. The golden bolts are back in this game and this time the golden bolts can affect your gameplay. They basically work as cheats in PS1 or PS2 games. There are many bolts that can have a fun effect like changing their melee weapon or changing their ship but once you almost have every bolt in the game, there are some that make the game absolutely broken and makes the game way too easy. I understand that the golden bolts are labelled as collectables but really these collectables including the spybots are way too easy to find, mainly because the map shows every single golden bolt and spybot if you simply explore the world, when arriving to a new location, the world won't be showing anything until you start exploring it and then the game will simply show you exactly where it is which defeats the purpose of it being a collectable since collectables should've been more hidden. The side missions and puzzles in this game is with Clank and Glitch. I'll talk about Glitch first with her puzzles are quite fun and I've enjoyed playing them whenever they're available with killing the viruses that can help you continue with the story and also getting some collectables. Then you have Clank's part of the game which is have nice puzzles with using the objects around you in order for you to solve it which can sometimes get the player to really think about it before executing it which is nice. And finally you have the pocket dimensions which also shows just how powerful the SSD really is when the game has two worlds or more than one object being shown in game at the same time and also another side mission to collect a piece of armor or clothing which by the way the game also has clothing for Ratchet and Rivet to wear that doesn't do anything but just for customization unless you complete a set which can then increase damage on certain enemies or take less damage from specific enemies. There are some pocket dimensions that can be challenging but most of them are very easy to complete and can be completed very quick sometimes. Overall the game is still a very fun game to play and even to complete as it is very easy to get the platinum trophy so if you like collecting trophies and even getting the platinum trophies, this game is very easy to complete but still a very fun game for everyone and a nice introduction to the PS5's features with the console and with its controller.
