Finishing the original Metroid on the NES back when I was a kid.  Love that ice beam!

The Thing...really good graphics, sound and atmosphere....but damn hard!  Perhaps the only game I've ever stopped playing for that reason.  Most of the time if I get stuck on a level, I put the game away for a bit and come back to it later (quite often, I will blow threw the part I was stuck on then).  But The Thing was too hard for me.

The less you know about this game, the better off you'll be. It's very odd to say the least. But that's a good thing. Do yourself a favor and just buy it.  I own the first game and it's awesome! Trust me, you won't be dissappointed!

It's a coin toss between Shadow of the Colossus and God of War. But I'd have to go with SotC for greatest PS2 game of all time, due to the originality of the game's concept - No generic enemies. All bosses; not just guys with a better gun than you, these are HUGE bosses. Who'd have known that climbing a giant and slaying it would be so gratifying. Many of the other titles on the list are sequels and the like. SotC breaks new ground and earns my vote.

I really got sick of the error message popping up when I threw games (PS and PS2) and dvds into my PS2. I tried pretty much all the tricks listed except the 'console standing on it's left side' trick. (Un)fortunately, I caved and bought the new 'downsized' PS2 on Boxing Day. It works good and cost a fraction of the original PS2. My new 'mini PS2' sits on my original PS2...I can't bring myself to toss it the ol' girl (especially if that left side trick actually works). I was waiting for the PS3...but the price is a bit too rich for my blood at the moment. Besides...friends are trying to turn me to the darkside....Xbox 360. Long live the PS2!!
