I never liked endings where I feel forced into something which was not dependent upon my choices in the storyline. Unfortunately this game does that to the player. As such, I do not really like the ending of this game. The rest of the game is enjoyable. But this feeling of forced choices made for me, without my interaction to influence them, really damages my enjoyment.

This was a fun game. But some of the jumping puzzles were downright annoying. They seriously broke the flow of the game. Also, if I were faith I would have picked up a holster from one of the downed guards so I could carry around at least a pistol.

Imagine that! A game which doesn't try to center itself around that gimmicky motion control is good.

@Darknight765 @zenstrata Actually I do have a choice, I can simply not purchase their products. I have already begun to do this. Over the last two years I have greatly reduced my game consumption. If this trend continues there is a good chance I may stop gaming completely and invest instead in other hobbies.

not going to touch this title till it supports play completely offline for single player. Multi-player should be the only component which requires a connection. Also, players should be allowed to set up their own servers to play with their friends! Requiring connection to a company server only is outrageous and not acceptable.

@Psycold @JustArtificial This is about their overall track record. EA is doing a large number of things to many of its titles which is damaging its reputation. This is not just about one specific thing. Some examples are - always online requirements - massive amounts of games with day 1 dlc which nickle and dimes players on top of the standard purchase price - severely overpriced dlc - massive amounts of false advertising - refusing to allow returns on products - and the list goes on.

I'm sure this new year they will find more ways to metaphorically shaft gamers once again. Hopefully people will respond and stop buying into their abusive consumer practices.

How about giving us a purely offline mode instead? I'm sorry but I do not accept SimCity which is online only.

This online move is a blatent effort to monetize this title and keep the companies fingers as deeply inside the players bank accounts as they can get. This sort of activity is ruining good franchise titles all over. Just look at the disaster that is Diablo 3. That game is now universally abhorred and a failure. Everyone I know personally who bought it regrets the purchase and wishes they had not bought the title. I foresee the same thing happening with this iteration of SimCity.

I will never buy a game that tries to do this to its customers. And I also now have a much lower opinion of MAXIS as a company for allowing this to happen to one of its premier titles. I did not purchase this newest SimCity, and I will probably think long and hard before touching anything from MAXIS in the future.

One friend even offered to give me his account to play through the game. I told him that even if he bought me my own copy I would not play it. Nor would I play even if the company gave me an account for free. I refuse to be part of promoting a game which so blatantly stomps on its customers for money.

Blizzard needs to apologize to their customers for their outrageous business practices that destroyed this game series. They stood on the shoulders of two great games (diablo 1 & 2) and they tried to turn it into a grand endless money making scheme to the point where they destroyed what made the first two great. And they did it at the expense of the gaming public.
