I am not terribly interested in Titanfall. May try it out at some point. Maybe not. I am personally very interested in Destiny. Although Titanfall will probably end up being fairly decent, It just doesn't excite me much for some reason. I think this is due to me enjoying co-operative game experiences and not really getting into pvp experiences. I just don't enjoy pvp like I used to. I want to spend my time playing 'with' people, not against them.

Hardcore gamers are those who spend at least 3-5 hours per day, every day, playing games. Being 'hardcore' comes down to the sheer time you put into gaming. If you spend much less than that, then you are probably not a 'hardcore' gamer. Of course this has nothing to do with what may or may not make you a worthwhile person. At this point in my life I can no longer call myself hardcore. School and work keep me too busy to play games enough for that.

But I have no problem being 'casual'. And in fact I would suggest that it is better to be casual than to be truly hardcore about gaming. There is more to life than games. And people should be going out and living it instead of being sucked into a game world all the time.

@Sam_021 @kartik_mathur Titanfall is not an exclusive. It is also on PC, and the developers have expressed interest in bringing it to PS4 as well.

I am going to wait for a couple years till the price drops and the systems have a decent library of games. Also, why would I want a console when I have a decent pc?

As an example, I really enjoyed the plot/storyline in Fahrenheit / Indigo Prophecy But I almost never suggest it to others as a game to play through. Why is this? Because most of the gameplay absolutely sucked donkey hooha. Practically the entire game was composed of QTE sequences. Cage should seriously consider teaming up with people to make a game that doesn't use qte's as its primary mechanic. He could come up with the story/characters, and the others could do the gameplay mechanics.

Just because you enjoyed the story does not excuse this games poor gameplay. QTE's are still a terrible game mechanic.

This is basically a choose-your-own adventure story with an extremely limited series of choices given to the player through a series of QTE's. There are many games which tell a good story and let the player actually have a decent amount of control for the character - take note of recent games like Dragon's Age, or Mass Effect. These sorts of games allowed for player choice and storyines, while giving the player better control over the character during action scenes.

For any developer to resort to QTE's to flesh out their 'gameplay' is taking the terrible and lazy way out. There is ALWAYS a better way to set up the gameplay than re-hashing one of the most terrible play mechanics to infect video games in the last 40 years. Leave QTE's to the Simon Says consoles from the 70's, real games do not need them.

Oh, and while i'm at it. Quick Time Events are not gameplay! Unless you are a simon says console from the 1970's you have no excuse to use the 'monkey-see, monkey-do' mechanic. Its one of the worst ways to control a game I can fathom. Developers who use this mechanic are just being lazy, and their games suffer for it.

Games should not try to be films. If I wanted to watch a film, I would go watch a film. Games give us the chance to do our own thing in the game world. This is what I enjoy most about gaming. The ability not just to watch what is going on, but to actually influence and change it, and be a part of that world. Not just watch it as it plays itself.

Also, this website is really crappy now. super slow, doesn't load 3/4ths of the time. Buggy as hell. Give us a Lo Fi version so we can actually get to things and view them.

@Sky_Stifler I also think it would have been better as a trilogy. They should have wrapped it up in 3 games, instead of making an endless series.
