It's like none of the leftist in this forum decided to read the article and instead just decided to have unhinged meltdowns.... typical.

“We want our physicians practicing evidence-based medicine. We don’t want to defer and just follow the herd,” DeSantis said."

Which is weird because the far right's stance on vaccines appears to be opposite of this.

Well, since you can't ban guns, you have to ban backbags

Lmao wtf.

I just don't get why we can't implement more common sense gun control. It has extreme majority support.

@horgen: They always do, but by implying that they don't affect anyone they can have their cake and eat it, too. For awhile.

Eventually we find out that, surprise!, it does affect someone at which point they shrug and say, "it's the law!"

They did the same thing with the decision to overturn Roe. It partially/temporarily insulates them from the responsibilities of their crappy decisions.

Who the f believes them when they claim the laws affects no one? Who is that gullible?

Even they know their laws negatively effect people, that's why they do it. To screw over people they don't like. But on the internet/debate stage they pretend there are more altruistic motives and that there won't be negative effects.

A great example of this is voter suppression. "Guyz c'mon it won't hurt anyone! We're doing it for voting integrity! This won't effect anyone!" Meanwhile leaked GOP documents show them loving the fact it will (and did) suppress votes.

The meaning behind the far-right symbol Texas shooter wore as he killed 8 | AP News

The far right has to chill with this shit. Can't believe far right posters even tried to have a "debate" on which party is more racist (lol) while shit like that was happening real time last week. 🤦‍♀️

Why some people are spreading false rumours about the Texas gunman - BBC News

Lmao far right loons trying to say false flag.

New Florida laws ban COVID mandates, allow health care to be denied (tampabay.com)

  • Prohibits businesses, government agencies and schools from requiring people to be vaccinated or tested for COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
  • In addition to the pandemic-related bill, DeSantis also signed a measure (SB 1580) that will give health care providers the right to opt out of certain services based on a “conscience-based objection.” The bill would not apply, for example, to emergency services that are required under state or federal law.

I read the OPs article among others regarding this DeSantis stupidity, from "High" fact sources. What are we getting wrong here? The first part is clear anti-vaxxing lunacy. The second part seems to be accurate for both titles from Tampabay Times and WFLA.

This seems very low IQ like a lot of DeSantis other 3rd world shenanigans.

Wasn't sure, but are you guys talking about this law?

  • Governor Hochul Signs Adult Survivors Act | Governor Kathy Hochul (ny.gov)
  • Donald Trump sued as New York Adult Survivors Act takes effect - BBC News

The Adult Survivors Act allows victims to come forward if the sexual assault occurred when they were over the age of 18 and took place on a date that exceeds time limits that exists on most felonies.

It is modelled after the state's recent Child Abuse Act, which applied to victims who were abused as minors.

The Child Abuse Act, which came into effect in 2019, allowed a two-year period for victims to come forward. Around 11,000 lawsuits were filed in New York against churches, hospitals, schools, camps and other institutions under that law.

Advocates for survivors of sex abuse believe the legislation provides an opportunity for people to come forward who may not have done so previously due to trauma or fear of retaliation.

Unless you all were discussing another law, sexual abuse victims fought for this. Going against that seems like a really shitty hill to die on. I guess at most you can nitpick the timing, but it seems quite important and needed to happen anyway + was modeled after something that happened years ago.

Anyway, can no one refute the fact checks showing Trump told crazy ass lies all night?

New Hampshire governor ‘embarrassed’ by crowd’s behavior at Trump town hall | New Hampshire | The Guardian

The governor of New Hampshire, Chris Sununu, said it was “embarrassing” that Republican voters from his state laughed and applauded when Donald Trump mocked E Jean Carroll during a CNN town hall this week.

Agreed. These cultists are human trash.
