Emotive? Check. Indie? Check. No replay value or good GAMEplay? Check. Will be GOTY in comments section, for sure! And be praised as a work of art. In games, art is imitating real art: doesn´t have to be good in any way, and being against it may label you as an ignorant. I really hate herd behavior...
@JohnMafia I had my issues with Mass Effect 3, like everybody else. Even so, I had much, much more consequences from my acts than I had with Walking Dead. You could affect the course of history, main characters could die, never to return. Or be saved. Here, you have the sensation of choice, but a quick replay can kill the feeling.
@LeafHurricane07 @Kraken422 @Hazegurl So, they should say: "your choices will affect the little subtle details in the second season. But the big picture will be the same, regardless of your choices. Except for cosmetic and timing effects".
@LeafHurricane07 @Hazegurl The changes are minimal or cosmetic. Changing the way someone dies but killing him/her anyway is not cool, just curiosity. The choices should affect the big picture and the small ones. But no, they don´t matter at all. The crowd accepted that. I don´t. Don´t promise stuff that you won´t deliver. If I have no choice, I can watch a movie about zombies, or play CoD to have some action.
I bought it days ago thanks to another hyped review in IGN. There´s no depht in gameplay, no great room to maneuver (in any way...). I can´t see why someone would give an 8 to this game. The art is cute, but cuteness and nostalgia are giving too high scores these days. I can´t trust reviews today if the game is "indie". I´m not some hipster trying to be cool. I want to play good and modern games. And I´m not against the indies, I play FTL, after all. But some of them are good, and the vast majority is barely ok.
