@DrizztDark The sales have very little to do with the quality of the games, and everything to do with the terrible state of the economy. Don't know if you noticed that no one is hitting their sales targets these days?
@StonerDemon they probably sucked because he had to listen to all these various stakeholders and in the end, had his hands tied as to what he was allowed to do. THAT'S HIS WHOLE POINT, you guys clearly can't read between the lines.

@uhoh_oreo23 @yboucher @Dumper1 "not a busy time" ?! Right...! Dead Space 3, Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Rising, Gears of War Judgment, and Bioshock Infinite all roughly in the same one-month window as Crysis 3. Yeah, that's my definition of "quiet"...
As for Aliens Colonial Marines, the crazy initial sales were due to the high preorder numbers based solely on the strength of the franchise. It has already completely plummeted in its 2nd week. Crysis 3 isn't set to follow that pattern.
@Dumper1 Well, it's "only" the #1 seller on the US, UK, and German charts right now. I guess that's all "luck" ? (or evil EA publisher marketing, huuuuhhuuu!)
Well, you know what, guys? He's right. Every single person who has been working in the industry for a few years will tell you this is exactly what is happening. Don't freaking hate on Cliffy, he's saying what a LOT, A LOT of us already know. You little ingrate brats only see the final products in your hands and are more than happy to judge anything you haven't even remotely been a part of. The truth is the industry is totally astray.
