sega is a disappointment to me, for abandoning the dreamcast. since the dreamcast days there was never a good sonic game again. the decision to abandon dreamcast was the worst decision of the century for a console maker in my estimation. if dreamcast had remained in the market it would have been a great contender, and it would have done well against the ps2, because back then there were only 2 consoles on the market whereas now there are 3 consoles on the market.

gamespot may have some biased reviewers that rate games differently. but this is different, this is a graphic comparison. for the lenght of time ps3 was out there should be no excuse why the graphical quality is not better than the 360. processing power is not the most important thing. the processor and the gpu must work together as a team. which is not evident on the ps3 because the games on the ps3 always have technical issues. this is because of the complexity of developing games on the ps3 because of its unique processor. which dosent hold any sort of advantage whatsoever. the 360 clearly has the better gpu.

Ign totally disagrees , they think that the ps3 version has the advantage in the graphic quality, that really makes you wonder. howcome the ps3 vesion is better on IGN but on gamespot the 360 version is better. i think the type of hdtv used to display the games have a big impact on graphic quality as well as the power of the console. ign totally ripped on the 360 version and said they rather the ps3 version which i think is utter rubbish. they said the ps3 controls are better , the visuals as well. but seeing it on gamespot now i see that they look good on both consoles neither one has an advantage in this game.

thats the ting about computers they always need upgrading you never have to worry about those tings with a console, sure when running on a high end pc it will look better , but you also have to shell out a couple hundreds or thousands every other month to play a game, thas not economical

these updates are cool , support for the 360 is very good from microsoft. i dont get why all the ps3 fanboys are in this thread critisizing though. anyways for the 360 owners this is a benefit.

i dont think the problem is the backwards compatibility, the problem is the higer price tag for less promising hardware. atleast if sony decided to remove the emotion engine from the console , they should atleast sell the console at a cheaper price. they are doing a diservice to the fans by selling it more expensive with less hardware.

the best part about vista i think is the addition of xbox live to windows users. pc gamers can challenge xbox 360 gamers. this will open a new level of competition on xbox live especially in fps keyboard and mouse against game pad.

i have to admit the ps3 hardware looks very promising but at the same time having all that power means nothing. if game developers dont take advantage of it. which will take alot of time for them to figure out. the six axis controller is a total waste. do you really want to be turning and twisting your controller ever second to do something. i think i will look like a retard doing so. i much prefer rumble. as for blue ray not really a big deal. so what if hddvd not included with the 360. when you buy the drive add on you get the hddvd drive a movie and an xbox 360 media remote. i think its a good deal for 199. considering that a hddvd player retails for 500. and also consider you have to purchase the cable for the ps3 to play games in hi def. add that into the cost plus a blueray movie and the ps3 remote control for movie playback. i am sure when gamers take the ps3 out the box the first thing they gonna do is play games. movies come second. but still the ps3 looks very impressive despite the cost

people say that mouse and keyboard is better but i dont think so. to me you dont get a sense of realism as compared to a 360 controller. mouse and keyboard is no fun. like even when i play halo the rumble feature helps alot .it even helps you respond faster because of the vibration. and i dont have xbox live cause i live in trinidad and the telecommunications company over here is like in era 1 dsl is only available in certain parts of the country and the price is prolly twice the amount people in the us pay and the speed is not up to the standards as in the states and i know for a fact that xbox live alone is worth it
