It's not a hack n slash game. It does have RPG elements so what you said in that regard is correct. It has a great melee combat system that is very satisfying. The weapons play into the combat as well. Decapitate a zombie's head or chop their legs and feet off. You can kill as you please. Set them on fire with a molotov and watch them burn. You can do that too. Or simply get in your truck and run them over. These are just a few things you could do. I've played games like Condemned and although that had an okay combat system, it's no where as good as Dead Island's. Just wait till you throw a butcher knife at a zombie right on their head. Run over, and pull the knife off of them. It's a pretty damn awesome feeling I must say. So to say it's a hack n slash isn't right. At least not to me. :) Yeah exactly, but to me an RPG has a story... hence you play a role. So its really a hack n slash with level'ing up. I think the combat looks fun, but its wasted if their isn't a story with it IMO. I wanted more than a L4D experience... sigh... it will still be fun but not £29.99 worth IMO, im guessing more like £19.99 at best.[QUOTE="wigan_gamer"]
Im hugely dissapointed from what I have heard... Wish I didn't pre order now. I should have known better but alas I let my brain convince me it was going to be worth it.
Why not go for a good single player with story melee horror game... instead of this bleehhhhhh hack n slash rpg.Elann2008

[QUOTE="deathshand707"][QUOTE="Advid-Gamer"] It didnt suck actually was a solid game, but after all it is *cool* here to bash crysis 2. What a jokeAAllxxjjnn
compared to the first game it was "sucky"
Still no, not really. Yes it was.It is certainly 10x better than any of the games you listed before it. They all suck.I agree that it's not just on the PC since the crossplatform formula everyone seems to be following makes it pop up on all platforms.
I will trade in Duke nukem forever, homefront, Hunted: the demons forge today and hopefully get The witcher 2, and I really hope it is as good as people claim it to be.

[QUOTE="XEviscerateX"]Based on what I've seen and played that score is unfair. If you compare side by side Duke Nukem to other games that have received 3.5s you will see how wrong the review is. Rusteater
I agree.
The game is about a 5-6 in my book.
The problem is other games are scored too highly, not that this is lower.
