Socialists have long been immune to evidence. Their beliefs and arguments most closely resemble that of a religion now.

@MigGui: The GND text states that it "will require the following: … providing and leveraging, in a way that ensures that the public receives appropriate ownership stakes and returns on investment...". It would have the central government direct and control vast swathes of the economy.

The fact is, you're committing a fallacy. Whatever "death toll" you imagine for democracy and liberal capitalism is irrelevant to the issue of socialism's devastation. This is known as a red herring.

@MigGui: If AOC favors social democracy, then she can call herself a social democrat. But instead she calls herself a "democratic socialist". Her "Green New Deal" aligns with traditional socialist thought.

Communism is a "higher stage" of socialism and I'm fully aware of the differences, as did socialists in times past. Why do you think the Soviet Union was called the "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics"?

Why is Gamespot promoting these politicians? They espouse socialism, an ideology on par with racism and Nazism in the misery, suffering, and death it's caused.
