On Tuesday night, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez streamed the video game Among Us with popular streamers including, Pokimane, HasanAbi, Jacksepticeye, and DrLupo, as well as fellow US House Representative Ilhan Omar. The three-hour stream was a massive success, pulling in some huge viewership numbers as the politician encouraged viewers to get out and vote. If you missed it, we rounded up some of the best moments from the stream clipped out by viewers.

AOC's livestream alone reached a peak of over 430,000 concurrent viewers, which on its own makes it close to the biggest Twitch livestream in history. Combining that with the streaming figures for Pokimane, HasanAbi, Jacksepticeye, Moist, and DrLupo's brodacsts, the number climbs significantly higher, likely topping 700,000.

For comparison, the Ninja/Drake livestream of Fortnite in 2018 reached more than 600,000 concurrent viewers to set a new record for the streaming platform.

The AOC stream proved to be a wholesome experience, with the Congresswoman kicking things off by encouraging people to vote in the US election coming up soon. She later shared her plans to vote early and chatted with hbomberguy about the logistics of utilizing health care outside of the US.

Throughout the stream, she engaged in playful banter with the other streamers, and overall it was a delight to watch. Once the games got underway, AOC shared her desire not to be the impostor--only to end up as the impostor in the very first match. (She didn't win that one.) When presented with the opportunity to take out Pokimane, AOC initially hesitated before actually doing so--prompting Pokimane to take a bow on her stream and note, "It was an honor."

You can rewatch the full stream on Twitch--it begins at around 15:40 and the Among Us gameplay starts at about 44:00.

Omar shared a nice photo of herself from the livestream with a wide smile in front of her computer. "When you're winning," she captioned the photo. She also shared her PC specs, which were quite impressive. Fellow Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib noted that her two sons watched the stream and were attempting to convince her to join in, too.

This was AOC's first-ever Twitch livestream. Given the opportunity to reach potential voters that might otherwise not be engaged in politics, it seems possible that AOC will stream again. She hasn't announced plans for additional streams, but there is clearly an appetite--we'll report back if and when another stream happens.

In the meantime, viewers have taken to creating memes from the stream, overlaying the image of AOC's webcam over other games she didn't actually play or inserting former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders into the mix.
