@fig56: They made a mistake when they called it "Arcade mode". I believe they were referring to the character story mode, which features brief overviews of every character. May I add that they were all insultingly easy. Hopefully the cinematic story isn't as easy though..

@nknow1966: The sales would have been higher, yes. But at what cost? If Capcom had developed SFV for X1 also, they would have needed even more funds than before. So let's say that Capcom had developed SFV for PS4, X1, and PC, and expected to sell 3 million copies. Instead, they sold 1.8 million. They still sold at a loss, so the reasoning of it not releasing on X1 is what caused this is null and void. As an owner of the game, Capcom screwed up big. The constant negative feedback for the lack of content and online issues dissuaded possible buyers of the game.

@nknow1966: No, that wouldn't have changed anything. If SFV were to have been additionally developed for the Xbox One from the start, the sales target would have been heightened well above 2 million. With the way that SFV launched, it still wouldn't have hit its sales target. Not releasing on the X1 has nothing to do with the rocky start. It's how Capcom released it unripe and way too unfinished, only for the sake of Capcom Pro Tour. In other words, this game was mainly a worthy buy for hardcore fans and the competitive crowd.

@DragonessAthena: That was before Sony helped Capcom with development or funding of an SF game. In this case, an X1 version is not going to happen.

@redalert539: I'm positive. I've read numerous interviews covering SFV, and Ono has clarified multiple times that SFV is canonically bridging the gap between SFIV and SFIII. Just go look at the prologues of some of the fighters. Mel (Ken's son) is a few months to a year old as to him being around the age of 5 in SFIII. Laura is seen in her prologue with her younger brother Sean, an SFIII veteran, with Sean appearing to be younger... And his skin is a lot lighter than it's supposed to be. In regards to the Satsui no hado, I'm fine with it being incorporated to Ryu's story. It adds depth to his character and background. Understand that the writers didn't intend the Satsui no hado to be easy as hell for him to be rid of. In SFIII, he completely overcomes it. SFV is not after or presently SFIII, it takes place before it.

@Archangel2222: Ahh, you're off there canonically bud. SFV is set in between the events of SFIV and SFIII. Ryu didn't fully overcome the satsui no hado at this point [SFV], but he has a high tolerance for keeping it under control. If you pay attention to what's going on in the scene, and also look a bit more into Necalli's background, the satsui no hado is probably being triggered by the presence and power of Necalli. Ehh, you not feeling R Mika and Karin, you're almost alone on that one. I've seen nothing but good reactions toward their return, because they are OG characters that were liked and have been in absence for a while up until now. I can understand you not feeling F.A.N.G. though.

@FBohler: Were there no multiplat bundles for the X1?... Oh wait. I know of two; Fallout 4 and the upcoming TC's The Division bundle. Pretty sure there might be a couple more I don't know of since I really don't scope out X1 articles and comment on them, but it seems that you're ignorant of that fact. both MS and Sony have been doing multiplat bundles since.. well does forever seem long to you? You just sound horribly biased toward X1/MS. Maybe you hold some sort of vendetta toward PS/Sony. Whatever it is, I can see it friendo :)

@horrnet35: It'd be awesome to get them both, but I agree. We'll probably see Sean in Laura's prologue and maybe even in the cinematic story expansion this summer. Most importantly though, they need to make him playable again!

@Oogazi: Exactly. It's not like it was an interview trying to cover serious questions about SFV or issues of the world. It was obviously meant for a little insight on Ono as a human being and also for fun. Clearly these guys missed the mark on that though, haha.
