good co op games are rare and totally necessary
i think the main reason halo is so praised is because of the co op
devs need to focus on these types of games, stuff like streets of rage can really become a killer app

i like online, its especially good for finding skilled people
but then theres lag and getting online.. which is not as easy or as fun as just playing my girlfriend who lives with me

"The game's not terribly long, and most players should be able to wrap it up in around six hours. Fortunately, it is free of the bad action adventure filler that made up large portions of the Sonic Adventure games, thereby providing a more satisfying experience overall."

6 hrs? jeez
how long does the secret rings take, its 100 missions with different modes and over 40 multiplayer games

"When Sonic Heroes works the way it's supposed to, the action is fast and exciting. Unfortunately, the game suffers from a problematic, finicky camera, occasionally spastic controls, and some bad clipping."
sounds about as good as the 360/ps3 ver... though im toning down my secret rings hype too

SR also has 4 player mode..

anyways, sonic rush>heros

Rumble is such a useless feature, I'm glad the PS3 got rid of that annoyance.Click_Clock

or they could've done even better
and had a switch so you could turn it off
that way you can't damage control, everyone who wants rumble gets it... it's win win

they need a section for the wii developers to post polls
then the gamers can decide whether they want X feature to stay or be removed, etc

wheres a link to this 30$ six axis?
im looking and no one has mentioned this

anyways, an extra 10$ for a clearly superior controller is no biggie, especially when you tack on 10$ more and get a game with it too
you clearly saved that 10$ by just buying 1 wii game over 1 ps3 game anyways...

So true.

I play games, not controllers.

The interface you use to play games is vital... you couldn't play gears with a 2600 controler, could you?

Good games make you forget about your controller. Of course the controller is vital...it has to work. My 360 controller works. If it works for Wii games, that's great too. But I didn't buy a 360 for its controller, and I'm not going to buy a Wii for its controller.

but the evolution of the controller also means something
could we honestly play gears with an atari paddle
it may not be exactly "better" but maybe some people would like the intuivite ability to do say whatever you could do in tennis without using any buttons
some people buy consoles purely on potenital... say for multimedia.. potenital of blockbuster games... maybe some want the potenital to interact more with less buttons to remember but the same amount of depth

Well IMO the 360 controller evolved just fine for me. It had wireless out of the box, plug and play charge abilities. the guide button (which I love) and better ergonomics and button placement and bluetooth capabilities. I understand what you are saying, but I just think its foolish for some people to say, well Wiimote is BETTER than the other remotes because it substitutes motion sensing for buttons. To some people, that's worse, but if it works for you, it works for you. It doesn't work for me. I just want to concentrate on the actual gaming experience without being hindered by the controller. If the system does that, then I'm good.

i agree with every thing your saying imo 360 and ps3 pads are perfect for me . after a long day of being at the gym i want to lay down and play my games with out having to move my arms to make a door open when i could of just pressed A 2 do the same thing

your arm doesnt move
your wrist does... its the slightest possible movement you can do...
and really.. i can never understand the "i play games the relax" mantra.. unless its sim games
most games i play are intense, mind challenging, eye watering and anything but relaxing
for myself, i can enjoy both.. but i love when controls are intuitive and don't need much explaining because things like my mom beating us all in bowling can happen
the only thing that hinders my controls are crappy devs... just like they screw up controls in every other normal game.. not every games controls fine so theyre not all going to for a brand new combination of technology

hmmm okami porting to the wii.. anyone else see a trend.. im starting to think that developers are categorizing the ps2 and wii together.. that can't be good.. afterall the ps2 is last genxanderdrae

developers are seeing a second opportunity to maybe make an actual profit on their games and bring some new content to the wii
look at godfather... thats even being brought to the ps3.. what about hl2?
but since these games originally didn't do so good such as okami and getting up the developers have always kept the wii in mind
ofcourse we won't see many "next gen" games though since most will rely on ue3.. unless they all do exclusive versions like activison and most are doing... worked for sonic atleast

i knew it, its clover/capcom and its suited for the wii... so i figured i shouldve waited
but okami was my most hyped 2006 game.. i had virtually no hype for zelda but honestly i believed i enjoyed zelda more, however original and stylish okami is
seeing how i beat the game already, it'd have to be really affordable for me to play it again.... and it was already pretty cheap at 40$
