I really enjoyed John Rambo, not a patch on the original, but provably the best sequel. As the others, well, they suck. But at least they resulting in Hot Shots Part Duex and Metal Gearr Solid Solid.

Hopefully it's a surprise hit like Rocky Balboa, which wasn't expected to do that great after Rocky 5.

An unethical character can be compelling when done correct.

Breaking Bad for example isn't the story of a good man going bad, it's a bad man, always bad pretending to be good.

Likewise with stuff like The Sopranos. Tony Sopranos is racist, homophobic, misogynistic, egotistical, violent and just, a massive dick. But also one of the greatest characters seen on tv.

I don't think that's a negative by default. It's a negative when it's done badly.
