@Pffrbt: I didn't hate it, but it (Downpour) was the most dumb Silent Hill, definitely. Homecoming was way better, even though it wasn't amazing.

I agree, Homecoming was definitely better. It started slow and even dragged in the middle but the last couple hours of Homecoming were fantastic. So was that strange level where you just descended into Hell and fought a creepy doll. If I still had my old PS3 and Homecoming around I'd play it again, it certainly had its moments...

@LexLas: So when's the release date? The Evil Within comes out soon so this game won't be all that interesting, Capcom needs to get it out ASAP...

I'm gonna go with Diablo 3. Again. The disappointment that game brings lasts years and years and years. Excuse me, I need to find a corner to go cry in after just thinking about it...

Get your little hands on Eternal Darkness at any cost, kiddo. It's a gem that deserves to sit right up there with REmake...

Silent Hill 2, by far. That ending is heart string pulling and extremely deep. You commit suicide by driving into the famous lake with the body of your wife who you came to find in the trunk of the car. Nothing comes close to topping that ending...

I can already tell they are going for "scare" horror rather than "dread" horror.

The dread horror from Silent Hill 2 reigns supreme...

Video games, movies and TV shows are made for women and children these days. Being an educated grown-up male leaves all three fields of "entertainment" predictable and boring.

They're almost all about struggles against despotic powers that they wind up winning on moral levels and sometimes battle *yawn* - because doing the opposite would greatly offend the idiotically liberal mothers out there who would be furious if their kids enjoyed something dark and dreary or their husband wanted to take her to something cruel and nasty for date night.

Politicians, women, children, and minorities have ruined the things mature adult white males loved for decades. The internet was perfect before women were irresistibly drawn to youtube and facebook, and consoles started connecting to it for the kids to access. The result is heavy censorship and long lists of rules that make participation from my kind an afterthought.

Are you a young gamer who doesn't understand or agree with anything I've written? The internet was a much better place before you, your cousins, and friends became a part of the whiny crybabies that forced corporations to make all the fun cramping rules. Your mom is too. Goddamn I miss the old internet from the late 90s and early 2000s, you pukes all disgust me...
