@berserks @tnguye3 Yes I did. It does say it'll be open world, but what do they define as open world? I read an old article on Gamespot (i think announcement/teaser) that the new director wants to go back to the Demon Souls routes and implement the instanced based world instead of the constant open world from Dark Souls. I just want to be sure.
@BraollusBeBack @Michael1571 I wouldn't go as far as say best MMO graphics to date. Tera has better graphics. However, I really love the dark gritty feel in the trailer, I wish they'd implement that in the actual game, just a simple tweak to the Post Processing would do. Currently the visuals of the game imo look like a slightly better than average generic mmo with some Elder Scrolls monuments and architecture.
Stereotype, stereotype, stereotype. Come live in the city. You'll be surprised what kinda party animals they actually are.
Don't forget half of the world's population is Asian, there can be many gamers, but there are also many night lifers - they just don't really get aired on TV for you know...partying.
@RetroSEAL But is it "fluid" like TERA, Vindictus, Dragon's Dogma or Monster Hunter? I really want combat to feel free, where when you move, you actually dodge arrows per se - not like GW2 where when projectiles don't hit you, you take damage anyways and only way to dodge is to actually dodge (which you can only do twice unless you've got endurance boons). It doesn't make sense, if I don't get hit I shouldn't get hit.
So yeah the question -- is the combat THAT fluid? Cause the videos don't convince me.
(btw before all the kids start flaming me, I like gw2 and purchased it, just not too fond of the combat)
@FighterforJC No, I want a satisfying experience. Not dumbed down crap.
All I want is an engaging game - if the game's too easy, it's not engaging no matter how good the story is -- i play the game to have fun, not to watch a movie.
If I don't struggle to say beat a boss, it's not even worth playing imo.
