I am sure this is going to get Nintendo fans in an uproar but you have to see Take Two's side of things. They mostly make M rated games and M rated games did poorly on the Wii. Even the ones that got good ratings. They know that the WiiU is more powerful than the Wii but M rated games still might not sell well on it and they don't want to take that chance. They are going to wait to see how the M rated games that will be on the WiiU sell. If they do well, they make games for it. If not, then they won't. Keep in mind that getting development kits is expensive and if your game isn't what a system's consumer wants; it will just sit and collect dust. Take Two is not willing to invest in a new system when the one before it was bad for M rated games. I am sure they would invest a new Xbox and PS becuase they have been great for M rated games this gen.

@williebazerka Yes, just because the Wii was not at the power level that the 360 and the PS3 does not mean it is not the gen. The Wii is the succcesor to the Gamecube just like the 360 is for Xbox and the PS2 is for the PS3. All 3 systems are more powerful than system before it and that is what makes it next gen.

@deathstream @hatieshorrer Keeping a lid on the specs and price are the scary part. I felt that E3 was going to be the place they were going to talk about the specs and price with the system coming out at the end of the year. It makes no difference not to tell now or later because MS and Sony will still be about to 1 up the Wii U in specs and price with Nintendo being first out the block.

@xXxIRyanxXx That is pretty much a given. With the 360 and PS3 having 50 milion+ systems sold in the US, the Wii U version will be lucky if will sell 200,000 units. The thing you have to look at the Wii U is how many people that get the Wii U at launch is a fan the type of game that Aliens is. I don't see it being a lot of them.

@howie1926 @Boddicker No, developers choose the price point. The cost of games has always been in the developers' hands. With the power of the 360 and PS3 being so high above last gen, production cost has gone thru the roof and this is why you get a $60 price point for most games on the 360 and PS3. The same goes for the Wii with production cost being much less and a price point of $50 for most games. Sony, MS and Nintendo will get their money no matter how much a developers sells it for.

This is MS making sure that the next Xbox does not have the hardware problems that the 360 had in the begining. I am sure they will be testing this new system for the next year to make sure that it is ready to go on launch day.
