What is Tom Clancy’s Connection to the game? I looked but I don’t see that he’s ever written any Division based books.

A lot of Switch deals lately. I wonder if the new version is coming soon and stores with that info are trying to sell as many of the old ones before that happens as they can before it drops in price.

Same with Xbox one X, but in regards to MS maybe announcing their next gen consoles at E3.

@sippio: I’ve never had any problems returning stuff there. Even stuff I bought new that I’d obviously opened but wasn’t the right thing they’ve taken back, no questions asked.

@dragonmachida: Before that how bad or how quickly did the motion effects make you feel ill?

What games have you liked most? I’d love to enjoy the thing, right now it’s a $400 dust collector.

I think part of my disappointment was my high expectations for it, especially concerning my favorite genre, racing games. Not sure if you saw these, but the prerelease adds showed video of Driveclub for PSVR, and it looked incredible. Now every add I see involving PSVR has a disclaimer somewhere saying this isn’t how it’s going to look in PSVR, but back then they didn’t, at least not those. I’m in no way a tech minded guy, so while I’m often told, “Well, obviously an image shown on X running at Y won’t be anything like when it’s got to do Z4 cubed, or whatever. I knew it wouldn’t look as good, I’m not simple, but I figured if that’s what they’re showing me to sell this thing then it can’t look much worse or they’d get in trouble. I don’t know if you’ve played Driveclub VR, but visually it felt on par with something from PS1 on my old non HD TV.

The other thing I was most excited about was the video capability in VR that I thought would be able to take you anywhere in the world and make it seem like you’re there. That was a huge selling point across all VR systems. But every video I watched the resolution was an even bigger impediment to the experience than it was to the games.

Like I said, all of that though I realize is my fault for not realizing the limitations of the hardware (although I do think Sony helped in fooling me with those adds showing footage). The sickness, uncomfortableness of the headset (in the summer, for instance, I’m constantly having to remove it to clean of condensation), the centering and detection issues, etc are the issues that have kept me from enjoying it for what it is.

I really do wish I loved the thing though.

PSVR was something I was more excited about than anything I can ever remember in gaming. I preordered mine, got it on day one, and I bet I haven’t spent 10 hours total on it since. From the motion sickness, to the terrible resolution in games, and the endless resetting to center the camera I found it terribly disappointing.
