I need to see more before making any kind of judgment. I liked the Witcher, though I haven't played the Witcher 2. So I'm definitely willing to give this a closer look once more information is available.
I did. The flying car and the "robotic" woman reminded me of Blade Runner with its replicants and witch-hunting police force. It was even rainy and dark like Blade Runner, with a high-tech fortress in the background similar to the Terrell Corporation. There is definitely some resemblance.
@surferosh @BloodyAura Don't hold your breath on Valve. Their Steam system is solely designed to kill the secondhand market in PC games. There is absolutely no reason to think that they wouldn't do the same thing if they came up with a game console.
@Sevenizz @nini200 @myungish I would guess that Microsoft will follow suit, for greed's sake. However, it would be a very savvy business move if they did not. I would choose the new Xbox over PS4 in a heartbeat if Microsoft didn't follow Sony's lead.
But this kind of BS--in the form of Steam, Ubisoft DRM, EA/Origin--was pioneered on the PC. If anything, PC games nowadays are locked down with more DRM and anti-secondary market measures than anything else.
A better deal would be to buy the Baldur's Gate enhanced collection (BG2 is the better game anyway) and then download free mods, just as the reviewer suggested. There is no reason to buy a slightly improved version of BG1 for $20 when you can get the whole series at Amazon.com for $15 (http://www.amazon.com/Baldurs-Gate-4-1-Boxset-Pc/dp/B000FGA1US/ref=sr_1_3?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1355493393&sr=1-3&keywords=baldur%27s+gate+enhanced+edition).
Not crazy about the Total War games, though there is an awesome Lord of the Rings mod for Medieval 2. Anyhow, I'll take a look whenever CA releases a Warhammer game.
I wonder if this Survivor mode can be played in local split screen. I know that other modes can, but this one would be great to play with a buddy sitting on the couch.
