1st ME had better story and exploring rpg 2nd ME had better gun play 3rd ME had better graphics that's it

Tighaman

I thought ME3 was a HUGE improvement on gameplay and graphics. I always felt very restricted in ME1/ME2, 3 felt like the first game in the series with an actual budget to back it's wonderful story and dialogue.

It wont and i will tell you why. The original Kinect proved the concept does not work for games. Even if the new one is more responsive and less laggy, it is still the same damn thing. The concept is fundamentally flawed. It is a great hook for getting little kids to jump around in front of the TV, which sold a lot of Kinects to a bunch of gullible unsuspecting people. But that is going to backfire on MS in a big way, because former Kinect customers know that it is a big pile of crap.

Videodogg

I just don't get it. I had a blast with the Kinect.

Ever played the Soccer Goalie game? It's responsive and a lot of fun. A lag-free kinect could make for some serious possibilities.

OK, I understand your frustration, but I'm still unsure how you're angling your argument. RDR is a critically acclaimed game...among tons of others that Nintendo does not recieve for various reasons. How is this a good thing again?

Your experience with your pre-order is out of sheer ignorance. We've all done it where we've pre-ordered a game without any review research of the game's strengths...and been dissapointed. Gears 2, for instance.. was an absolute mess online for the first few months, and I purchased the game at midnight, only to be dissapointed when I got home.

RDR is still a great game, and your experience with it is a terrible reason to elevate the WiiU. THe fact is, the WiiU does NOT get many awesome exclusives, and that is not a good thing.

MSXBOX4EVER

I have more complaints about RDR, but it's been so long since I played the game that I can't really get into details. Either way - I am glad that you and so many others liked it.

Sheer ignorance? I bought a product which didn't perform as advertised. It is the advertiser's fault, other games performed as advertised for online multiplayer, and after all they eventually patched the game so we could get online together! Unfortunately I wasn't playing Gears 2 back then, but I did hear bad things about it.

The angle and why it is a good thing - is about consumers keeping their money by not having the opportunity to spend it on games which are sold through aggressive marketing as opposed to merit. (Is this angle trollish? Surely it is best to have every game possible available - or maybe I'm not trolling. I think I won't go into any more depth as I'd like to leave it as it is!) Actually I will make one more comment - I never pre order games any more. Once bitten, is worth two in the woods.

You don't really have to add anything...aggressive marketing and pre-ordering schemes expose the ignorant to bad games.(hence why many are so popular) I'm not calling YOU ignorant, because like I said, we've all fallen into the tactic at some point (RDR for you, and Gears 2 for me).

This still does not allude the fact that Nintendo loses out on 90% of the quality multiplats M$, PS, and PC enjoy. It's just a silly and yes, trollish defense/

[QUOTE="MSXBOX4EVER"]Couldn't even play online with my gf day one.

MSXBOX4EVER

I can't even comprehend this statement.

Because you couldn't play RDR with your GF for ONE day, your completely jaded about major exclusives?

Also, how is MSXBOX4EVER a big supporter of the exclusive fallacies of Nintendo?

There's so many "wats'" in this thread I think I need to sit down and meditate for a bit...

Oh no, that's not what I mean.

I pre ordered the game, so I had it 'day one', on this day, and every ... single ... day for the next 14 days at least - we were unable to play RDR online together. Definitely not a NAT issue or anything, as we would often play Gears 2 or similar games together - with no problems at all. Much of the marketing hype was based on the strength of the multiplayer experience - and they did not deliver on the content of their own marketing materials. I pre ordered based on their claims about what the game experience would be.

It is good you are running into many 'wats'.

[QUOTE="lostrib"]

uh did you just use being excluded from major releases as a positive?

MSXBOX4EVER

PC, Wii U - no Grand Theft Auto 5. Honestly, no word of a lie - this is a HUGE positive for those platforms.

I wpre ordered Red Dead Redemption based on Rockstar's marketing campaign. Big mistake as it was hugely disappointing - they basically swindled my money. Couldn't even play online with my gf day one.

Hyped games which secure pre-orders screw consumers, Wii U/PC doesn't support such games - it's a big plus for these two truly next gen systems.

I can't even comprehend this statement.

ITT: people hate what's new.

Brawl is obviously the best in the series, stop being ridiculous. Far more options and content and quality than either of the other 2 games.

Vaasman

Brawl is a worthy successor, and I actually enjoy the smash balls (not all the time).

But Melee is the best game in the series, and that's pretty much a fact.

The only possible way you could consider that a fact is if you boil it down to the absolute core of the core mechanics. Brawl is a vastly superior game in every other way.

Melee is the perfect blend of competetive fighting, and Nintendo charm. It's fast-paced, unrelenting, and doesn't over-indulge itself in fluff features.

Brawl is jam packed with characters and levels, but seems to reward players that keep their distance from the combat. It's slower, and best enjoyed when turned down to it's bare-bone features.

How to have fun with Smash Bros in three easy steps.

Step 1: Get some Weed and/or beer/rum (this step is optional, but reccommended)

Step 2: Find at least one other friend

Step 3: Play smashbros on any nintendo system, and prepare for the most fun you've ever had since the mayhem festivel.

You must be doing it wrong.

GOGOGOGURT

Smash+Weed+4 friends is truly a masterful combination. Truly, some of the funniest moments of my life have come from such a combo.

also, +1 for Mayhem festival

because the first sports games on new consoles are almost always stripped down trash.

id rather they wait a year and release a full game.

Armoured_Mage

This.. and only this.

And it'll be even worse this gen because it's not going from SD to HD.

Welp.

I've gone from the PS1, to the Gamecube, to the 360....and now it looks like the cycle continues with the PS4.

Unless M$ proves to me why the new kinect is relevant to my gaming experience, I'm buying the PS4.
