@swimbearuk I can tell you my experiences from playing FC3 for about 5 hours. (1) Enemy base respawns - fixed. Enemy bases are now occupied by friendly forces as soon as you take them. (2) Too much driving around - fixed. You have many fast travel points now, and you can immediately appear in any of them. Every taken enemy base becomes one. (3) Respawning far after death - much better now. You still respawn a bit behind. In multi-stage missions, you usually spawn to the last mid-mission checkpoint. The game saves those automatically after you accomplish a major objective mid-mission. In smaller missions or side missions, I think you usually spawn in the closest fast travel point. Since you have lots of those, the drive is usually very quick. (4) World only filled by bad guys - fixed. The world is very interesting now.. lots of things to see, from wild animals, to friendly forces, to civillians. Those even interact among themselves. I've seen a couple of bad guys catching a bear. I've seen a tiger hunting a deer. I've seen bad guys fighting with friendly guys very far from me. (5) Tedious side quests - improved. Lots of the side action right now isn't in the form of side quests. You can just do extra stuff without it being an explicit side mission. For example, for crafting you need to find certain animals and hunt them. They are just spread around so you need to walk around and look for them. You can take enemy bases when you see them, not being part of a mission. Unlocking and crafting is not tedious. Hunting animals is lots of fun, and every animal behaves differently so it's always interesting. (6) Malaria - gone. The game is less realistic now, but more fun to play. Overall, I think Ubi really took the fan feedback and changed lots of their original formulas.

@Simplythebest12 @JoshB48 I really like that the open world here doesn't make you explicitly start a "side mission". You want to hunt sharks? Just go find them and have your fun, no need to talk with someone first who is being harassed by a shark to open this up. This feels much more natural

@Cat_Astrophy @ajhu_2003 Dude, I don't see Journey as a mere game.. It was a flippin experience. And an amazing one at that

I like that Jason (the protagonist) isn't a trained soldier before the game starts. Whenever I f*ck up a stealth mission it feels very consistent with the story

I'm much too old to invest more than 15 hours in a campaign.. Got the game and I see it taking me straight back to my younger years! Wife pissed off at Ubi

@thequickshooter I've played for about 5 hours and only noticed this issue once.. It's quite meaningless and not as big as an issue as the respawning bases of far cry 2

The Wii U tries to push casual gamers to core games. Until games improve online matchmaking, casual gamers aren't going to have any fun. I wrote an editorial about it: http://www.gamespot.com/users/talkcasual/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25997553 . Let me know what you think..
