PS3

Pros: It has a BluRay player.

Cons: Very few games out for it. Games that were supposedly "launch titles" for PS3 are delayed indefinitely because of coding problems with PS3, It is far too expensive for what it offers, The $399 version is NOT backwards compatible, and has a cheaper slower chipset.

The XBOX 360's gamepad ( wired USB version) is what I use, and honestly is the best pad I've had in a long time, since my Sidewinder back in the early days.

Intergrated motherboard sound is the reason for the stuttering sound.

You can get a decent 5.1 audio card for about 30 bucks, save up.

no, thats just the clock speed. i mean the performance if it was like a pentium 4. dependent on clock speed.AlexKidd5000

We say again.. 2.66GHz is it's clock speed. Performance is usually measured in Whetstones and Drystones, or more modernly measured in calculations per second, or instruction cycles per second, as this is a better measurement of multi-cored processors, than the vibration of the crystal @2.66 GHz.

32 bit OSes with64 bit Processors, can only see up to 3GB max. (CMOS sees true amount)

64 bit OSes with32 Bit Processors, can only see up to 3GB max. (CMOS sees up to 3GB)

64 bit OSes with 64 Bit Processors, can see the true amount of Ram.(CMOS sees true amount)

From what I can see in yor setup... Your power supply is grossly underpowered. You should have went with a 850w or greater.

This DOES indeed make a difference, if your videocard for example is being shorted a few volts, you will get the errors you are getting. Again, from what I've calculated from what you told me you have in your machine, once again, an 850w p/s is what may help you.

For most of the newer games, 2GB is the "sweet spot", meaning your overall performance will definitely improve. I am assuming you use Windows XP, because ANY game played on Vista is HIGHLY recommended to have 2GB or more RAM.

Also, if you have Windows XP, the 32 bit version will see up to 3GB (not 2gb as previously stated). Windows XP 64 bit will see 4GB and above, only if you have a 64 bit CPU.

Edit: ...upgrade to 240 pin pc 4300+ ... Umm.. no! Actually, upgrade your RAM according to what your motherboard is specified to use, then get the fastest RAM it can handle. Crucial is a good website for this.
