UC1 is a genuinely meh game, bordering on bad. UC2 and 3 are more or less equal, that is to say, pretty good. UC4 is the best and is a really good game.

Usually it's huge sandbox games. I'm a completionist when it comes to those and the thought of going through them again and doing everything is just... no ty. The Witcher 3 is one of my favourite games but I don't see myself going back to play it any time soon. Even during my first and only playthrough I gave up with doing everything when I saw all those ? in Skellige. Playing again and just sprinting from main mission to main missions just sounds like not playing the game properly.

Killzone 3 has a good campaign but nowhere near as good as Titanfall 2.

Well, if you want something with similar themes of gothic horror and cosmic horror in Victorian London then maybe Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. Obviously it's the antithesis to Bloodborne's combat, but aside from the other Souls games I can't really think of anything similar.

The people saying RE7 is a knock-off of Outlast clearly haven't played the game.

The fact that it's barely connected to the clusterfuck that is the RE canon is one of it's biggest qualities, likewise for RE4, which is why they are the two best games in the franchise.

If it's good for the role sure, but there's a difference between acting and voice acting. Dishonored, for example, had an all-star cast and really flat performances from great actors. It's usually better to stick with voice actors.

@jg4xchamp:

Well, if we continue this we will keep spinning in circles. I'm more than happy to agree that Nioh has more flexibility and complexity in combat, even depth, then, too, but I still wouldn't say that makes it better, since a lot more other things go into what makes combat fun to play. I guess I am just a sucker for the bloody horror aesthetic of Bloodborne and find the viciousness of the combat and the much more interesting and varied enemies you fight more fun.

In the end, Team Ninja does have an advantage over FROM, and that is Nioh has a lot of stuff that must be fixed, and if they do that, and Nioh is their Demon's Souls and Nioh 2 or whatever their Dark Souls, then we might get one of the best games ever. FROM will have a hard time topping Bloodborne, in my opinion.

As for the bosses thing, it's different when you fight regular enemies that die in 4 hits, and 2 very tough bosses at the same time. Again, I'd post the video that has what I actually mean but I don't want to spoil the bosses for you. Perhaps lazy and unnecessary is better to say than cheap. Because the stuff you mentioned about fluidity and chaining? You really can't do that when you have 2 quick and relentless bosses on you. It's still optional stuff, though, but then again the optional stuff in Souls games is stuff like Cainhurst and the Painted World.

Souls games do have bad grab attacks, but like I said, the added i-frames help there.
