@Richardthe3rd: This is likely to come with a high end sticker price that will put it out of reach for a big part of the market. The original Xbox One will still have an important role to play.

@necromancerb: You can bet that a new Elder Scrolls game is already in development, but we're unlikely to see it for another couple of years.

@Lacerz Nope. Even with optional upgrades every 3-4 years consoles would still be considerably cheaper than trying to stay current on PC. Nvidia's new 1080 card will cost more than a whole new console. Of course you don't need to upgrade that often. My current graphics card (GTX 780) is now several years old and still works just fine for gaming. If Consoles start to follow the PC model the same will be true. You may not always have the latest and greatest but your investment should be good for 6 or 7 years until new games stop supporting it. The bigger benefit though will be that your old games will always still work.

@lakitel: I called your arguments moronic. There's a difference. If you want me to call you moronic, that costs extra.

@lakitel: Nope, still moronic. This is a complete cake. You can pay extra for special decorations and extra frosting, but not having that in no way means this is not already a complete and delicious cake. I rarely ever buy DLC because $60 is the absolute max I'm willing to pay for a single game, but I certainly don't begrudge the developer for selling extras or anyone who wants to buy them. If I don't think a base game is worth the asking price I won't buy it in the first place.

@lakitel: I really hate this argument. It's like saying that because a bakery decides to sell donuts in packs of 12 and 24, buying 12 should entitle you to 24 because they've been held back. It's moronic. You don't need the DLC to play and enjoy the game to completion. If you don't want to pay for 24 donuts that's fine, but don't whine because you paid for 12 and only got 12.

If you buy a game system, or phone, or anything else for your minor child that requires your credit card on file to allow future transactions, it's on you as a parent to RTFM. He could easily have prevented this from happening by educating himself and making use of the features provided. Kudos to Microsoft for refunding him anyway.

I'm glad it was rejected, but its similarity to Let'z Play isn't why. Both should have been rejected because Let's Play is already in common use to the point that no one should be able to trademark it or a slightly altered spelling of it. Let'z Play should never have been granted. This was a really sleazy move by Sony.

@mikemurphy80: It doesn't matter if they're counting every PC on the planet. The percentage doesn't matter at all to the point being made. If only 13 million PCs will be capable of running an Occulus this year, that's a much, much smaller potential market than the installed base of 36 million PS4 owners.
