Slightly O/T, but I can't help but laugh a little at the MOD's title of "Make it Pretty." Really? As if Oblivion was world famous for having horrible graphics or something. Pretty-ER, maybe. :)
Umm...er...it's a video game. I try to reserve being scared for things like seeing a shark while swimming, or being bitten by a rattlesnake. Or maybe even finding out the girl I went out with last night has syphillis. The game was certainly well done, but I'm gonna have a hard time calling it "scary".
Definitely go with a Core2 Duo. I'd look at the 6600 if I were you - way more bang for the buck. And, if performance is your primary consideration - DO NOT upgrade to Vista.
I actually like Vista, but there's no denying that it's way more resource intensive than XP.
