@Brawnze

DO NOT SPEAK ILL OF GTA IV! Just kidding :).I do understand your reasoninng and it really just depends on what you perfer. As much as I liked the cartoony-ness of GTA SA, I kind of like the realistic-ness of GTA IV more and still play it today.

Ok, sorry to go off-topic.

It's still out there, but it's kind of struggling to keep itself going. It's a shame to because I really did (and do because I still have it on my computer) enjoy it. I wish it had gotten bigger because it really offered some very intuitive ideas...

It allows you to buy trial just about any game for 30 min, instantly before buying and you can replay that trial as much as you like. It has the arena where you can watch people, including friends, play and then rate them on performance. You can rent games for 3-days, 5-days, or just buy it at a discounted price. And finally, the feature I like most is the Brag Clips. After you do something extremely cool that you want to save, you push a button and it records the last 10 secs of your gameplay. Then you can view the most recent or highes rated clips in the theater. All in all, I really liked the service and people do still play it.

Also, developers are still making games for it. Last I saw, they had AC: Brotherhood, Homefront, Batman AA, Splinter Cell, and about 100 more. Only problem is you don't get ALL of the games that would come out for consoles.

But whenever I try to play with this friend it will work for a little while and then sign me out. We both also have very good signal strentgh Anyone have any idea why?

I actually think they are still letting you send it to sony to get repaired but trade it in for a slim model. thats what i would do and it only costs like 149 or so

KurupSoldr

I heard about that but, when I started to fill out the application I didn't see the offer. Any idea where to apply for it?

2 options, trade at gamestop or take it out back and beat it with a bat.jcopp72

hmmm, the latter is very tempting, but...

Well just a few hours ago I was a care-free, happy-go-lucky gamer enjoy my PS3 and then suddenly it turns off and the heart wrenching red light begins to blink. I dropped to my knees and began my mourning of my 3-year old friend. Ok maybe exaggerateda little bit, but anyway what should I do with the broken system. I have decided to purchase a new slim model (as I was considering upgrading anyway) but I would like to make a little bit of my money back by selling the old one. The way I see it I have several options...

  1. Trade in the broken model to Gamestop and maybe put the little bit of credit towards the new one.
  2. Sell the broken one "as-is" on eBay.
  3. Get it repaired for around $100 dollars and try and sell it for $150 on eBay.
  4. Break it down and sell it off for parts (not so sure about this idea).

I have already decided to get a new PS3 anyway so my only real concern is which method will earn me the most money back.

Thoughts, opinions? Any advice is appreciated. :)

I have an old "fat" PS3 that I have had for several years and i am noticing that it's freezing up more often. It freezes almost once a day when I play New Vegas (but that might be the games fault) and occasionally while playing other games like AC and CoD. Is it the games' or my PS3's fault and would getting a new one make it better? The fans aren't always on so I don't think its overheating.

No, that would only make the game worse. All the poison blades and hidden guns and crossbows that we've come to know and love would be gone. We be back to throwing knives and swords.
