We don't even really know what Nintendo has planned for the second half of this year, outside of Smash, and after BotW and SMO, I'm not willing to write them off anytime soon. Let's at least get to E3 before trying to make these predictions.

I'm gonna say no. I'm sure some will get close, but I think the only thing that truely has a shot is if we get a second Zelda game on switch that uses the BotW engine, and refines the experience and improves upon it.

This is my personal problem with them. I'm always stuck with the feeling of "I could have done that".

Typically, you find you walk/climb around a minor obstacle, kill some enemies, and just as you're getting to a bit that, from a distance, looks interesting control is snatched away and instead you're stuck watching it be done in a cutscene, or a QTE.

For many, especially journalists who need to get though a game relatively quickly, it might seem great, you're character is doing something cool, and by extension you're doing it, because you got them there. But others like myself are stuck instead with a sense of disappointment, like the developers didn't trust us to be able to get past this part, so they had to do it instead.

It's a game, let me play it.

This also isn't to say, I'm against cut scenes, I'm fine with them for story progression, but often it feels like the best action sections are now cutscenes and the story progression is done in scenes where I'm forced to hold up while characters walk and talk. It should be the other way around.

Insomniac has always been behind the best PS exclusives since the PS1. No "plays itself BS", like Sony's 1st party offerings. So glad they managed to remain independent.

IDK, I loved the GoW trilogy on PS2/3, I even loved the PSP titles, Ascension was fine too. But I'm just not sold on this one.

For starters I'm sick of gaming's sudden need to have me babysit kids. I'm also just overall disappointed with how toned down everything looks compared to the older games, oh and don't get me started on just how stupid Kratos looks with that damn beard.

It doesn't help that is really does look like yet another movie-game from Sony. If you like that great, but God of War was one of the few PS IP's that focused on real gameplay instead, and to see that gone in favour of making it be like every other 1st party release they have honestly makes me feel sad.

Atreus is pretty capable, he's included in the combat system with his bow and arrows. I'm not sure where the toned down part comes from, they haven't shown off any of the boss fights to avoid spoilers. If anything, the scale is even bigger in this one.

Apparently the gameplay in this one is the best yet and there's more of it too. If you add all the previous GOW games together you'll probably end up with about as much or even less gameplay than in this one.

You should watch Skill Up's review. Near the start he says he doesn't really like The Last of Us, Uncharted, or Horizon as he found them boring but God of War takes the best aspects of all of them and then also succeeds as a videogame where they failed, and that it's the best game available on PS4.

I'm kind of in the same feeling in that Uncharted 4 was one of the most boring games I've played this gen but I'm looking forward to playing God Of War.

Don't even bother man. I doubt that guy even has a PS4 with his childish comments. As for the bold. Uncharted 4 being boring to you doesn't matter because you have more to play such as GOW. That's the benefit to gaming on PS4. I loved Uncharted 4 and think its a great and exciting game, but GOW will destroy it. Either way, we don't have to settle since we get many games to choose from.

Don't have a PS4? Dude, my favourite game of this gen is a PS4 exclusive (well shared PS3/4 exclusive), I love my PS4. I'm just bored with the way Sony approaches there 1st party titles.

I just don't get the hype for this. The classic GoW games where great, but this seems to be throwing out everything that made the series unique and fun, and replacing it with the stale formula of Naughty Dogs recent games.

Killzone killed the Killzone franchise, by been a mediocre FPS in a market that was overflowing with mediocre FPS.
