EPIC - They went from classics like the Unreal series and the fantastic Gear of War trilogy, into the awful Gears of War Judgement and then F2P trash, Fortnight.

Personally, I'd take Japans meh graphics and great gameplay over most western developers great graphics and lousy gameplay.

For me, I can already say for certain that it's a 100% no.

God of War stood out from the other Sony exclusive IP's as one of the few that continued to focus on gameplay over been cinematic. It was also gory and over the top for the sake of been gory and over the top, that's what made the series fun.

This new one looks like a hollow shell, they've tried to copy the formals set out by Uncharted and The Last of Us, but in the process have removed the traits that made God of War what it was. They could replace Kratos in this game with grump old guy who runs the corner shop down the street from me and it'd be no different.

Yeah... sorry doesn't look good to me.

For starters, more than any other PS4 1st party exclusive, it really just seems like you're experience will be no different watching or playing.

Second, it feels like all the character of the older God of War games is gone. Where is the language, where is the brutal kills, where's the sex? These aren't things I typically need, look for, or want from a video game, but God of War built itself on these elements, and embraced them. Now those element that made the series what it is are gone, and in it place it an incredibly tame, and rather boring looking combat system, and a kid.

To me, this really feels like it should have been it's own thing, and not a God of War game.

NES, SNES, N64, GB, GBC and GBA.

No NGC, as the current Switch controls wouldn't work with it, and I don't see Nintendo doing the work needed to make the games work with the Switch's current digital triggers, and even with the Switch supporting the Wii U's NGC adaptor, it would still be incredibly unreasonable to require people to own them, or another separate controller, to play VC games.

No DS as the touch screens are too different.

No 3DS for the same reason as DS, but also because they're still supporting it.

No Wii as the Joy Con aren't as accurate as the Wii Remote, but I see remake as possibilities.

No Wii U, because they're reselling every Wii U game on Switch as a brand new title.

@spike6958: Wow. A Nintendo fanboy justifying ports.

Why bother making any new games at all? Let’s just play Atari games and pong 24/7!

You completely miss the point. When it comes to SP game, absolutely make new games. However, when it comes to a game like Smash if you're making a brand new title each time, you're spending a large amount of time just recreating the same content again and again anyway, with the veterans like Mario and Link.

Reusing the assets from Smash Wii U saves a ton of time and gives more development time focused on NEW content for the game.

The amount of people asking for the next Smash to be a brand new game honestly has me stumped.

Smash 4 was the perfect Smash Bros game. To just throw all that away and start again feels like such a waste. Smash is one of the few games that really would work better as a platform. You bring it back, and just add more to it over the systems life. Reworking Mario, Link and all the other mainstay characters every generation really is nothing more than wasted development time that could instead go into bring new characters and modes into the game.
