@KILLEDbCRITICAL: Indeed, this is true for every game I think, but especially for the Uncharted series, which has always been known for its very high degree of polish...

@UnbornCorpser: The question then becomes "why isn't console access possible on console machines?"

Technically it's probably pretty trivial, as the underlying scripting engine that the console allows you to access has to be around anyway for the game to function. Sure typing on a pop-up keyboard with your controller is annoying, but it's not like people are going to be typing in novels, or using it constantly....

@merwanor: I like holstered weapons too, but maybe in practice it turns out to be a mess... I'm currently carrying about eight different weapons (and use all of them)....

I don't get this attitude... if they're that dangerous, Bethesda could easily disable the console on PCs, or disable particularly dangerous commands, or pop up a "are you really sure? this will screw you" dialog when you use them, or ... (etc)

Supporting the (game) console on consoles (machines) would be trivial, and the player bases are largely the same types of people, so any logic that applies on one platform applies on the other, but Bethesda nonetheless differentiates between them....

Maybe it's just a public relations issue, where they'd like to disable the console everywhere, but can't on PCs because PC players are used to having it, and would throw a fit if it were removed.

@i_am_kesmonkey: To fair, "dominated" doesn't just mean "sold more than" in a context like this, it means "sold significantly more than, to the point where that lead causes problems for the second place finisher."

I have no idea what the sales figures were like on a year-by-year basis, but my impression is that the 360 was never that far ahead, and if the PS3 came in second, it still did very decently, and so e.g. never lost 3rd-party dev support etc (and given that the PS3 was more annoying to develop for, many developers may well have wished they could stop support it...)ing.

I guess part of it is that the 360 was notably more ahead in the U.S., whereas the PS3 did better in other countries.

@gameroutlawzz: I've had some luck killing Behemoths in places where there are random other creatures that can grab their attention. I just plink them to death with my most powerful long-range sniper rifle from maximum sniping range... they'll start to run in my direction, but often they'll get distracted by some other creature and stop to fight it instead. It takes a lot of bullets though... ^^;

@kjouda: Plus it's really fun to play slowly and enjoy all the immense amount of detail Bethesda has put into the game. Fallout is like wine, best savored, not guzzled...
