[QUOTE="Texas2089"]I'm perfectly happy with my PS3. There has been some downtime, but I have my 360 to take up that downtime so I'm never without anything to play at any given time. There are lots of great games this gen, both exclusive and multiplat that should be able to keep your interest on PS3...Mo-licious
Ditto. I'm happy with the games just wish this pesky day job wouldn't cut into game time so much! lol :)

Tell me about it...I'm lucky if I can fit 1 hour of gaming a day :S

Now that the PS3 doesn't just limit it self to gaming, it would be interesting to see what the age of PS3 owners are. We all know the average age of games is pushing in the mid-late 30s, but let's get the facts.

I will start...33, being older means I can afford to feed my gaming habit, whether it's a new tv, surround sound, etc...please tell me I'm not the only person in ther 30s...

I removed it, I didn't really buy stuff anwyays. If I need to, i will just get a PSN card from Gamestop. They kind of dropped the ball on this one.

Yea, I've checked it, both through easy and manual configuration. My brother has a second ps3 that connects perfectly fine with the same settings from a further distance to the router.

Basically, when I choose easy it gets stuck at Checking Network Configuration... Please wait. It can't ever find anything after that.

And whenever I try it manually, it fails and says 'Connection to the access point timed out.'

Your brother is in the same house I suppose...you arent by any chance both trying to connect to the same IP are you? When you do manual, are you specifiying an ip address?

YES. You said you played the first on PC, I'd do the same with the second. You get better graphics and controls, plus it's on sale right now at D2D for only $8.

If you want it for PS3, get it off of Amazon instead. It's currently $10 with free standard shipping (usually you'd have to have a purchase of $25 or higher to qualify for free shipping, but in this case it's free even if you don't) plus you don't pay tax. But don't go and spend $20 on it at Walmart when you don't have to.

just to escape reality, even if it's for just an hour a day... Usually to get away from work and other boring things that take up valuable time :)

Did you check your wireless settings under SYSTEM? I know it's basic, but do you have your wireless access key in there? After you input all that data, it performs a test...where is your failure?
