I've deleted my GameFAQs account for being part of this site. Dunno if there's a seperate GSpot account to delete, but I wanna put it out there:

Me coming across this "Article" from GameFAQs main page, and seeing moderator's responses to criticism over the "article", is the reason why I am deleting my account after nearly 20 years.

@Akriel_Boulve: To be fair, the game lore (at least somewhere in the first two games anyway) states they are mutants and not actual "little people". But then again, saying the "midgets" are genetically damaged "normal people" sounds alot more awful then simply saying they are indeed dwarves.

Oh well. Every single person in the franchise is gay/bi/bi-curious, how much more fucking pandering does Pandora need?

Why can't we have more games like Postal2, where it's totally on you if you decide to go around gunning down everyone in game, regardless of race/gender/orientation?

@basketballfan: Just imagine how long the flash-back sequence would be if it was part of the second chapter. All of midgar is padded out to a full length game in chapter 1, so flash-back Nibelheim could potentially be several hours padded out (possibly with added story that's shown later on in the original game). I always dread it in original 7 since it's almost entirely button-mashable dialogue that lasts a while, so I end up just blasting through it (even though I hate doing that). I always feel compelled to rush through it, even though it is one of the best parts of the game. I hate large sections of cutscenes/dialogue. Too much reading eventually just causes my imagination to wander off into the world of the game.

Although come to think of it I wouldn't mind more Tifa and Cloud childhood background, especially if it was an extended playable childhood segment. Young Cloud and Tifa teaming up to explore Mount Nibel together or something would be really cool.

@donewithgamespot: That's not really an obscure word at all on a gaming/entertainment news site like GameSpot.

Right? Considering that's the most common word associated with the prequels/sequels, I mean what the hell. Retcon is obscure?

Anyone who isn't from the US when they see these bars: 🤢

That's how we act here. Butterfingers are nasty. "Butterfinger, Baby Ruth, or Crunch bars" these are the 3 least popular candies in the country. Obviously this deal is just meant to drum up sales of that crap that noone buys.

I can't remember the last time I watched a Bond movie and thought anything other than "There was no reason for it to be that fuckin' long". I Like Bond films, but they are always much longer than they should be. Like you could cut an hour from them and still have all the impact, or even more so since you aren't nodding off halfway through.

@naomha1:

FF12:ZA - 07/11/17

FF15 - 11/29/16

These are the U.S. Release dates, but the point is probably valid for all regions

I remember nazi zombies in Wolf3D... although... they were zombies made by a nazi doctor, so there's a good chance they weren't nazis in life... P.O.W.s? Untermensch? Kinda sick now that I think about it.

But yeah, those fuckers will jack you up. Fists replaced with meat cleavers and their chest cavity is basically the magazine for the gun grafted in the middle of their chest. I forget the name of the doctor, but I remember his attack is throwing syringes at you. That always seemed so savage to me as a kid, like B.J. shows up to put an end to his psychotic experiments, and he responds "you'll never take me alive sucker!" and starts flinging plague and aids needles and stuff.

No Wolf game after 3D has any level of charm that 3D had. They can improve the graphics all they want, but 3D is like a 70's grindhouse B-movie, RTCW is a straight WW2 shooter for 90% of the game, and the rest were so forgettable/dumb/bad I won't bother to mention any by name.

@lionheartssj1: Nintendo has a museum (or Japan has a Nintendo museum, whichever) which has the proto-type NES, which functions much more like a Wii than an NES (home menu, online services and gameplay, game streaming, using the Zapper like you would the Wii-mote, etc.). I would imagine they have a Play Station, but if not that would be a prized adition for sure

"fans spotted a reference to a grappling hook in this new behind-the-scenes video. However, O'Connor downplayed the significance of this, saying it's not necessarily a feature that will be in Halo Infinite."

Besides this, absolutely nothing in the interview makes any mention of what "Halo Infinite's New Game Engine Will Allow Dev To Do Things That Weren't Possible Before" is even supposed to mean. They claim they can get stuff done faster with it, but so fucking what? What does that have to do with "Allow Dev To Do Things That Weren't Possible Before"? Getting things done more efficiently isn't a feature to a game engine that allows you to do new things that were not possible on the old engine.

A referance to a grappling hook? That might not be in the final product? SO FUCKING WHAT! Half-Life 1 had grappling hooks with Oz DM and other mods.

What was the point of this? It did nothing to make me more excited for the game or have more respect for the developers. It did the opposite. Why did he make a claim about a new engine that does things they could never do before, then do nothing what so ever to to justify his claims? Unless he actually bothered explaining what he meant by only-now-possible features, it's just bullshit and lies.
