The 360 has a lot of great sci-fi games, if you want to look into those then we can discuss it more on the XBox 360 forums.

On the Wii side they have a couple of decent ones - a lot of people are really looking forward to The Conduit. And if you had a DS, Moon looked interesting, though I haven't heard anything about that game as I sold my DS half a year ago.

[QUOTE="Haziqonfire"][QUOTE="santiagochile"] No, they are not being sold for a steep price. The price is quite reasonable. A full game for only $30, count me in. Much better than $50, or $60. And Nintendo is'n't the first one to do this, and it's not the first time its been done on the Wii (Zelda). I think you should stop complaining and get a better job if you can't afford a $30 game.

You keep missing my point -- you've actually missed it since the beginning, even though I've said it everytime I've responded to your post. Its not about me being 'cheap' or having a bad job and not being able to afford the games .

You really never had a point to begin with, you were just complaining that a cheap game wasn't cheap enough for you. The price is fine, there is no problem, so there really is nothing more to say. /discussion

I am a big fan of these sci-fi games like halo and Metroid prime. Now as i was looking for new games to buy i noticed that i couldn't find any first person shooter sci-fi games for especially Nintendo Wii. So does anybody know are there such games? I also prefer multiplayer shooting games...

Call of Duty: World at War has pointy-shooty controls and multiplayer, though it's not sci-fi. Ditto what wescash said, MoH:H2.

Metroid Prime 1 and 2 New Play Control are probably coming to NA/EU too after their release in Japan.

The Conduit is coming in June, an FPS sci-fi with online multiplayer. You'll probably quite like this so you might want to read up about this one.

There's also Dead Space coming for Wii, which will be an FPS on rails. If you don't mind that, then you might like to check out RE: Umbrella Chronicles in the meantime and the upcoming RE: Darkside Chronicles.

By the way, you should use the Recommendation Thread that's stickied near the top of the forum in the future or else the mods will lock your threads and you won't necessarily get a chance to respond to people.

In terms of sci fi halo and Metroid Prime are related but in terms of genre one is a shooter the other is an adventure game.

No, they are both shooters. In Metroid you shoot all your enemies, you don't greet them or become friends. Sure, you can read some little stories, but in the end you shoot enemies, bosses, doors, etc. It definitely is a first person shooter. Also, don't forget MoHH2!

GTA is a horrible game that gives all games a bad name. Wii will never get it. Even if EA takes over. Wii is more of a family system anyway. Let the other consoles have this game. The only thing good about it is the free-roaming. Everything else, is repetitive and/or dumb. penamat
GTA is one of the best franchises ever! You can explore, listen to music, do all kinds of missions, find odd little objects laying around, and do side jobs. It's a game that has great stories, and long, enjoyable game play. It does not give games a bad name, and I will buy it when it comes out for Wii. BTW, check out ChinaTown Wars for DS!

[QUOTE="Haziqonfire"][QUOTE="santiagochile"] That makes no sense. By taking off $10, Nintendo stands to lose $10 million on each game if they sell at least one million, but you only save $10. If that's too much, be more responsible with your spending. I don't see any problem with that amount of money.

Nintendo would be making money even if it was priced at $20 -- There is nothing "WRONG" with it being $29.99 -- the only thing "WRONG" with it is that these games are old with slight enhancements, being sold for a bit of a steep price. Its like me saying I'd be fine paying $100 for an iPod Mini when the new iPod 4G Nano's are $140.

[QUOTE="Haziqonfire"]It would have been fine if the price was $20 instead of $29. I did get NPC! Pikmin for myself, because I couldn't find the GameCube version and ultimately the Wii version is superior (never played them last generation either).Haziqonfire

The market, not you, will decide what price is "fine" for these games. If they sell a lot, they stand to make more money at $30 than at $20. They do have people who analyze these things, you know. I'm sure they did research and found that this is the ideal price. Also, didn't RE4 Wiimake launch at $30? So what's the problem? And if I recall, Bully, a $40 game on PS2, launched at $50 on the Wii.

Its a bit of a high price for whats being offered -- its an 8 year old game. Its not what the "market" decides the price is -- People would have bought it regardless of its price because its Nintendo.

And yes, those games were over priced for what they offered too -- but they were already established names to most people.

That makes no sense. By taking off $10, Nintendo stands to lose $10 million on each game if they sell at least one million, but you only save $10. If that's too much, be more responsible with your spending. I don't see any problem with that amount of money.

Upcoming games this year from Nintendo are Punch Out, Endless Ocean 2, Another Code R, Sin & Punishment 2. ( Probably more at E3 ) Pikmin 3 announced last year, also that Zelda and Mario teams already working on sequels.

ONLY REMAKES; LOLOl!!!1

Wintry_Flutist

You forgot Excite Bots! That game is awesome! With online! Also, don't expect a Zelda or Mario for a LONG time! Maybe even the next gen. Think TP, and how it came out for Wii BEFORE Gamecube, even though it was a Gamecube game!

Off topic, but there's no reason to wait for the next console to release a Zelda game. Twilight Princess was delayed due to quite unique circumstances, and anyway the GC already had got a proper Zelda game, which is not the case of the Wii.

Yeah, there's a VERY BIG reason to wait. They can launch the next system and have a "new" Zelda ready for it, and still sell it on the Wii. That's why TP was delayed. They would make money and sell a lot of consoles right off the bat, like they did with they Wii. There is little reason for them to launch the Wii before then, since the Wii has already sold 50 million. There is no need for a game like Zelda to push console sales.

This thread is for people who are pissed off that all nintendo is doing for the Wii is making Gamecube cames with .00000000001% better graphics and for the Wiimote. What do you think they should do with their time? Maybe make a new system with regular controllers so theydont get headshot by core gamers?

Hiitsme02209
NO! Dual analog controllers?! Please just go away!
