I should point out that a lot of fans, including myself, say The Curse of Monkey Island is the best in the series. Don't stop with just the first two.

Myst is good but the sequel Riven is a monumental improvement, and the best game in the genre, imo.

I also like Beneath A Steel Sky, Machinarium, and Syberia.
