What's the first thing you guys are planning on doing in the game? For me, once I'm free to do what I want, I'm heading up to Blaine County and stealing an airplane. From what I can see, it looks like the least guarded of the airstrips in the game. From there, I may parachute into the military base and try to steal a fighter jet.
You sure did dodge my point about no one complaining about any of the content of the other reviews. At this point, you are just here to derail the thread and complain about behavior, that frankly isn't present in the thread. No one's day was ruined by GTAV getting a 9 from GS, except for Carolyn maybe. People are talking about the misogyny complaint, not the score.

The first post in this thread has a huge list of all the scores that different places gave the game. PGD gets very hung up on scores, metacritic averages, etc. Notice that no one is complaining about the content of any other review that got less than a 10 other than clickbait Escapist review. It is pretty common for official threads here to have a list of all of the reviews. We want to read reviews because it is another way to pass the time before we get to play it. I can't speak for everyone, but I've been here for 8 years now and haven't seen anyone on this board care about metacritic anything.
There do seem to be a lot of reviewers commenting on how Trevor is flat out evil on a level that no previous GTA playable character has achieved. I'm curious to see how that effects my playtime with Trevor. I saw a scene during a stream of the leaked game... [spoiler] ...in which he is forced to waterboard someone with gasoline. It was pretty rough, but in the end, Trevor seemed sorta relatable. [/spoiler] It was pretty brutal, but I didn't come away thinking he was a monster.

The complaints aren't about the score. The complaints are about Carrol's misogyny comments. I don't think anyone in this thread was expecting a Gamespot 10/10 for the game.
So she has a different opinion than the people in this thread. Why does it matter? I don't know why people get so crazy over reviews. On a scale of 1-10, I'm maybe at like a 2 in terms of giving a shit about the misogyny complaint. I think she missed that the game is satirical and that overall, the game is misanthropic, not misogynistic. Every person in a GTA game is going to be a stereotype of some sort, I just think Carrol is more sensitive to one of those stereotypes than all of the others.
