I think for single player, IW and BLOPS 2 were the best. They both tried to do something different, IW with the fighter missions and BLOPS2 with the strike missions and having decisions in the levels that change the ending. As far as setting and Multiplayer, I enjoyed BLOPS 1 the most.

The faction quests, specifically the radiant quests, which is just like in Skyrim. They're a bunch of crappy small quests and are go to a random location, find item x or kill enemy y. In older games from Bethesda like Morrowind and Oblivion, the factions had a large number of actual quests for each faction.

The other thing I don't like is it seems that the settlements get attacked every couple of minutes. The settlement building I didn't mind, but I wish it would have led to something like having actual NPCs move in and give you missions.

The defense grid games were fun. Toy soldiers the world war 1 and the cold war ones (xbox 360, backwards compatible on xbox one) are fun as well. There is a newer one on ps4/xbox, not sure if it's good or not.

All of the Warriors games from tecmo-koei--dynasty warriors, samurai warriors etc. I think they're alright and you get your money's worth. Warriors orochi 3 in particular was huge, with a giant roster, plus multiple game modes and over 150 characters from across their other franchises like Ryu from Ninja Gaiden.

@fsmith36: GTA Vice City is out on ps4. It is a ps2 game on ps4 along with gta3 and San Andreas. I know they sell it as a bundle, but I think it's available separately. I don't see anything on vice city stories though.

I would recommend Dying Light and even Dead Island/Dead Island Riptide. As others have said the Assassins Creed games-I personally did not like the first one, but the other ones added a lot of content from side missions to upgrading your gear. Both Watchdogs games and Deus Ex games are pretty fun too. The Prototype and Infamous games are alright as well. If you want a unique open city game, check out The Saboteur (WW2 occupied Paris).

I'm not sure why people are disappointed with it. Maybe because there is no multiplayer. As far as single player, the campaign feels about as long as the previous game. However, there are additional assassination missions as well as the inclusion of the original Wolfenstein 3d game so I think there is plenty of content.

While I can't say anything about the Switch since I don't have one, the Wii and Wiiu were backwards compatible with the previous systems. The Wii could play GameCube discs and you could plug in the controllers, while the Wiiu has a Wii mode that lets you play all Wii games and use Wii hardware. So yes, they do support the older consoles, by having their newer ones fully backwards compatible. Like I said, don't know about the switch.

If anyone cares, the ps4 pro is on Sale for $350 this week at most stores. Gamestop is throwing in either Starwars Battlefront 2 or FIFA 18 as well. Not sure if any other stores are including a free game, but that is a pretty good deal, seeing as how Black Friday sales didn't include one. I was going to buy one during black Friday, but I couldn't find my original hard drive to do a trade in. Finally found it today, and I'm actually glad I waited, as the game is a nice bonus, since I wasn't going to buy Battlefront, but I'll take free.

Gears of War and GTA. Gears has some of the most bullet spongy enemies that I've ever seen for a shooter game. That and from sequel to sequel it feels repetitive--lack of enemy and weapon variety. GTA--they're well made games, but I just get bored while playing them especially GTA4. I'll probably try to finish GTA5 though. MGS5 was another one I got bored of. I got the first half of it done, but couldn't bring myself to keep going. Lastly, the Halo series--still have 5 in the shrink wrap. Same issues with Gears--bullet spongy enemies and no real innovations from sequel to sequel. Lack of iron sights on weapons too.
