Believe me, I had no interest in Smash before WiiU. I just asked for it for Christmas because of all the positive chatter about it, good reviews, and I honestly had nothing else to really ask for. I just ended up loving the game.

On a separate note, in Xenoblade I finally beat that jerk Zu Pharg and Ch. 10 is now complete! I go from literally cursing this game last night and this morning to loving it when I finally figured out the battle. Right before I saved and quit this morning I talked to someone in the commercial district who triggered a side quest. Based on the multiple rewards available in that quest I have a feeling it's going to be a good thread. Can't wait to play it tonight.

@WreckEm711: Was Nintendo Voice Chat the podcast you listened to? For so, that's one podcast I make sure I find time to listen to every week. It has become my favorite.

Keep enjoying that WiiU! I'd love to race you again in MK8. We only did that one time and it was cut short by a crying baby! Also, Smash is SO GOOD! I never imagined liking the game as much as I do. The music alone makes it worth it. It's just mindless fun and I still suck at the game.

@WreckEm711: Monster Hunter 3 on WiiU is $13 used on amazon... down the road if your budget can fit it in, you can re-live Tri now that I was told on miiverse that it's an updated version of the game... I had no idea that was the case.

I'm not the most reliable at setting up online sessions because of my weird gaming schedule but it'd be cool to hunt with people I know. Jordan hunted with me in MH4 once and I've made a few miiverse buddies that I hunted with a handful of times. It's a bit less annoying than hunting with randoms. I've found the MH community has two extremes... you have the total MH snobs that are total asses to you if you don't know every nuance of the game... then you have some of the nicest people who will bend over backwards to teach you the game then help you with hunts. I have been fortunate enough to find a few people that are really high level and spend a of time hunting with others to help them raise HR or get better gear.

Me personally, I prefer offline solo hunts the most but I have had some really fun sessions of hunting with randoms and miiverse friends.

@WreckEm711: I need off-tv play on NX. That's probably WiiU's most important and useful feature in my book. I'm hoping NX is actually a bit more powerful than PS4/X1 just so the system has a chance to get some good 3rd party support.

I do agree with you that the WIiU library for as small as it is, is really good.

Also, I saw your miiverse post about Monster Hunter TriHD... Is Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate the same as Monster Hunter Tri on Wii but just in HD? If so, I never knew that. I've really gotten back into MH3 on WiiU lately. I started with MH4 on 3DS around the time it came out and loved the switch axe. I bought MH3 on WiiU last summer and decided to go a different weapon route for a different experience but did not have as much fun and stopped playing for a few months. Knowing there's no NX for another year I all of a sudden have had the urge to play my backlog. I fired up MH3, ditched the sword and shield for my switch axe, now I'm loving it.

I have a nice backlog. I'm still on Chapter 10 of Xenoblade X and still feel like some more sidequesting, I still enjoy Smash Bros and Mario Maker. Also, I got Monster Hunter 3 for Wii U late last summer and only put 12 hours into it. I recently started it up again so I plan on that as well. I also want to get back to Earthbound as well. Plenty to do on my WiiU still.

I also have my 3DS with stuff to do including Ocarina of Time and Monster Hunter 4. I'm keeping my eye on the summer jrpgs coming out on 3DS as well.

I also even started a new playthrough of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on my PS3!

I can easily fill my time until March, 2017. This will also help me save up my money if NX looks like it's what I want.

Go check the Mario Maker thread here in the Gamespot WiiU forums. I posted a few in there. Once you star someone's levels, it's easy to find them after that.

If you're online on a PC you can go to this site to bookmark people's levels as well; then they'll show up under the book marks tab in the game.

I played your hop til you drop level a few times. Got pretty far but didn't finish it. I will hopefully knock it out later though. Also, I forgot that content is locked in the beginning! I honestly liked that feature because it eases you into the game. Not that it's hard to figure out, but there's a lot of tools in there so piece-mealing it wasn't the worst thing.

@WreckEm711: The Spurs will not be stopped. I am upset that Curry is hurt though because assuming the conference finals is Spurs vs. Warriors I wanted to see a series for the ages. Without the Warriors being full strength, it could be a 5 game series.
