@rabidgiantsr:

Yes, they are. I already dropped my Netflix sub down from 4 screens to 2 and dropped the ad-free option on Peacock. Once the password-sharing crackdowns, I'll be cancelling more because I only get certain services for other people.

@fastesttcar:
You are truly overestimating the influence of Musk. He may appeal to the far-right nuts who hate Disney already but that's about it. How'd his "influence" affect Delaware after they voided his massive bonus? It didn't.

Let's talk about the massive devaluation of Twitter (now X) after he bought it. If he is so impactful, wouldn't that mean the opposite? And when he inevitably loses that Disney lawsuit he is funding, what then? The same people who look up to Musk think someone like Andrew Tate is an OK guy.

Cool, but I can only imagine how many people will immediately cancel it after watching the season. Paramount is too expensive for what little it has to offer.

Overly praising a simplistic game doesn't make it good. As a whole, it's fine but it doesn't do much that other indie games don't already do even better. The dialogue choices are unnecessary since they amount to nothing, the story is predictable, and the gameplay is as simplistic as the story. The only thing this game really has going for it is the soundtrack.

I honestly only feel like this game is getting its flowers because it offers representation to a race that isn't all that prominent in gaming. If not for that, this game would be going under the radar.

Good. After that pile of trash, I can't say I'm broken up about this.

And that is one of the reasons they're currently dealing with a strike. They don't want AI to replace human work in film/tv.

Lack of action isn't an issue. It's needlessly long and would have been better if it were cut down to 8 episodes, not 10. They need to flow with a better narrative structure like Game of Thrones. Don't focus entirely on one character's story for 60% of an episode then use the remaining time on someone else. Cut in between various characters to keep it fresh.

Well, there's a reason they did virtually no marketing and released virtually no gameplay footage. They knew it was going to fail and they're still going to release the pile of garbage in hopes to make some kind of money back on it. The title sums it up perfectly - It is a game that we didn't want and didn't need.

Rant Time! - Game Pass is very pro-consumer. If a developer makes a game that I enjoy on GP, I very well could buy it (and I have) and it would also make me a lot more interested in their future work because I already had a great experience with them.

In comparison to what it used to be where if I bought a game and it sucked for whatever reason, I'm out of my money and the developer doesn't have to do anything other than say "Hey, we'll do better next time". No, if you give me a junk experience, why would I want to bother with anything else that you do?

I mean look at the string of recent releases that have been nothing shorter of broken messes - the new Star Wars game, Redfall, Last of Us on PC, Cyberpunk, and Dead Space on PC. The fact is that they'd rather release broken games to the masses because they want to maximize their profits rather than make sure they deliver a good experience from the jump. They then hope to address things via patches in hopes of making it more playable but after a couple of those, they essentially end support and move on to the next thing. They already have your money so what do they care? If they actually cared about what the consumers thought, they wouldn't release a half-broken, nearly unplayable game. So no, I don't feel pity for your lack of sales.
