Torchlight is singleplayer only, so I think Diablo wins by default (not that anyone has played Torchlight). That type of game can be very dull without other players, imo. Then again, if you weren't looking to play online, maybe Torchlight is the way to go.Planeforger

I like to play on my own, but have recently been playing Co-op with a friend. I believe I will go with Diablo 2 first.

Before this thread gets locked, I'll recommend Diablo II. Diablo II is like the standard for these types of action/RPG hack-n-slash and looting games. And even after all these years, it's still the best one. I also recommend Titan Quest. Never played Torchlight since it's not out yet, right? Since there is no reviews for it I'd say just wait and see but play Diablo II. Every PC gamer who loves these games needs to have and play Diablo II.ASK_Story

Sounds like I should pick up Diablo II first and hold off for Torchlight. No, it's not out yet, releases tomorrow on steam. Was trying to get an opinion before it jumps up $2 tomorrow. Thanks!

I've never played Diablo 2 and was thinking of picking up the warchest version, but I have heard about Torchlight and how it is, "like" Diablo. Would you recommend that I pick up Diablo 2 first or Torchlight? Thanks in advance!

The minimum requirements for the game are:Video:NVIDIA GeForce 7600 / ATI Radeon X700 or HD / Intel GMA 4

The recommended requirements are:Video:NVIDIA GeForce 8800 or Better / ATI Radeon HD 3850 or Better

I am attempting to choose between the followingfour cards

512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650

ATI Mobility RADEON™ HD 4670 – 1GB

Single NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 260M, 1GB

Dual 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3870 - CrossFireX™ Enabled!

Will all four of these cards run Champions Online without a problem?

Which card would you recommend to not only play Champions Online buy other graphic intensive games as well?

How would you rate the cards from weakest to strongest?

Thanks for your help. I am not nearly smart enough to make this decision on my own.

I purchased Fallout 3 on Steam and finished up the main story line last night. I would like to purchase Broken Steel from Games For Windows Live, but I remember hearing someone say there were compatability issues that would not allow the DLC from GFWL work with the Steam version of the game. Does anyone know if this is true or not? Thanks

Thank you for the intelligent responses. My biggest concern would be the idea of losing a couple hundred games that I purchased and only being able to get those games again by purchasing them all over again. I hate the idea of paying double for something that I never should have had to in the first place. I feel if we get to a console future where everything is download only, that possibility becomes much more realistic.

Recently I've listened to conversations about future consoles being built around the concept of, "downloadable only." The rumors floating around right now about the PSP Go!say there will be noUMD disc. The only way you can purchase games and play them are to download them using your PS3 or PC and upload them onto the new PSP or possibly download games directly through a Wi-Fi connection.

I consider myself a hardcore gamer. I currently own roughly 100 xbox 360 games along with a number of others for PS3 and Wii. I will use thefuture generationXbox for my example and question. Say the next Xbox is downloadable only to a massive built in harddrive. The 360 has had the RROD problem and mine has RROD'ed 3 times since launch day. No problem as long as Microsoft is repairing the problem. But, like consoles from my past, a new generation comes a long and I store the downloadable console in the garage for about 10 years, but I want to go pull it out of the garage and play some old games, I plug it in and it RROD's. Microsoft is no longer repairing the console.

Say over the course of the life of the console I purchased 200 games at $50 a piece, that's a $10,000 investment in games that I have now lost and can never get back. With older consoles today, if you pull one out and it quits on you, you can go on ebay and purchase one that works from someone and play your old games. Something that most likely will not be possible with a downloadable console.

Knowing this, would you want a console that was downloadable only?

My anticipation for this film is at it's peak. Here is a video review from someone who has seen the film itself. Sounds like Snyder may have knocked this one out of the park. Outstanding!
