The first one would've been freaking amazing if it wasn't for the unbelievable amount of bugs in it at release. (and STILL in it to this day) Fingers crossed they learn from thier past mistakes and give this one a bit more polish and love before shoving it out the door.
I think cross platform games are great, and can only be a good thing for videogames in general. I've had lots of fun playing Star Trek Bridge Crew on my pc while playing alongside people who are on a ps4.
Everything i've heard and seen from this game so far sounds like it'll be getting 7's or 8's across the board. Dragonage Inquisition: in space.
Hopefully the game gets better as you progress, but early indications are making me a little nervous, also a little glad I don't preorder games anymore.
You gotta remember, in 2012 when the kickstarter ended, they were literally still getting the company together. The office space, the desks, the chairs, the computers, the legal team, the staff to make the game. 4 years for an already established game studio may be long, but the first year or two for CIG, they were still getting the tools and systems and people ready to make it.
Not to mention that they're making both a singleplayer game (Squadron 42) AND an MMO (Star Citizen) at the same time, which is freaking nuts. If they can pull this off, it'll be pretty amazing. I have my concerns and complaints, but so far its been pretty entertaining watching this whole thing come together.
"Incredible vision" is one thing, but showing people things in a trailer that literally aren't even in the game is blatant false advertising, and they deserved every little bit of the crap they got for it.
