The Vedas are not a religious document in the same sense as the Bible but rather a set of books written over the course of hundreds of years that explains a set of philosophies which is the core for Hinduism. Also the oldest Veda, Rigveda which is thought to have been completed around 1200 B.C. though they stem from older oral tradition thus they are not 5,000 years old. However, they are considered the oldest scripture still used.
The problem with your question is it is VERY short sighted. Evolution is a process that occurs over MILLIONS of years, and in many different ways. Evolution is not a linear path (from amoeba to conscious being), but is a branching path with many outcomes. Just becuase we have achieved this level of intelligence, does not automatically mean that other species will do so. How many animals have necks as long as a giraffe? Bats have sonar...why don't we? I mean, they are able to pinpoint a bug in absolute darkness...that seem to be pretty superior to our abilities does it not? By your logic we should have it then correct?
Evolution does not work that way. It's not a linear path to the best...it's a branching path based on survival and adaptation to environment.

This is one of the reasons I don't really think PC should be a part of system wars (and I have a powerful system). It's just so much more capable and powerful and versatile than consoles that it literally isn't fair. It's like having "car wars" and introducing a spaceship.
