"Other than a few exceptions" and "virtually no one" are not the same as "never met anyone." This is blatant and ridiculous manipulation of the news story. Makuch should be ashamed.

EGM had it right back in the day when they had four people (one of which was a ninja) review each game. Their own personalities and favored genres would really show different perspectives and the aggregate score was a great baseline. These days I use Game Rankings or Metacritic to decide which games to buy, Gamespot reviews are just fluff and forum fodder.
