I agree that it got much better and more fun as it progressed. To me, Spartan Ops is just Value Added beyond the campaign and multiplayer -- and if 343 continues to improve it like they appear to be doing than it's gravy.

True. Dead Space 2's Hardcode mode (which requires you to complete the campaign on a high difficulty with a max of three games saves) made me sweat so much I actually needed a portable fan blowing on my hands. The anticipation that built when you knew your were approaching a particularily difficult part was crazy. But it was probably the most fun I had had in a long time, and a huge sense of accomplishment when it was done.

COD haters have become caricatures of themselves. I question the sanity of anyone who takes the time to let the world know how much they "hate" something.

I'm enjoying DA2 but it certainly hasn't gripped me as much as DAO. Origins was pure fantasy storytelling while DA2 seems to get bogged down in local Kirkwall politics. I could write a laundry list of changes they made that made me scratch my head, when perhaps a "if it ain't broke don't fix it" approach would have been more suitable. Incidentally, the combat in DA2 has grown on me, I actually find it really fun, and I really believe those who complain about the "button mashing" just aren't playing the game properly, or the way it was intended to be played. It's the environment recycling that really shocks me. Astonishes me, really. It's one thing to reuse an environment over and over and over and over, but another thing for almost every room in a whorehouse and an upscale mansion to look IDENTICAL, right down to the artwork, statues, and the teacup on the table. There are dozens of examples of this.
