[QUOTE="xXDrPainXx"][QUOTE="dk00111"]I watched some gampelay videos of Stalker and Deus Ex after lots of praise for them on here and other places, and honestly they don't look like they've aged well. Maybe the videos I watched just sucked, but can anyone tell me what all the hype is about?dk00111
Well yeah Deus Ex is 11 years old man. Stalker on the other hand once it has been updated with texture mods will probably look like nothing you have ever touched before.

Yeah, Deus Ex looks a bit too old for my taste. Stalker might be worth picking up though. What's so special about it?

Both games don't hold the players hand and leave it up to you to explore for yourself.

Stalker you will probably find one of the most atmospheric games you'll ever play.

Deus Ex is all about giving your character the freedom and choice to approach your objectives and leave it to you to get the job done. It has a lot of detail and depth. Deus Ex is old so you should expect predictable limitations like ai and graphics. However because of how good the gameplay is the graphics even today don't affect me.

Not everyone will be able into to these games and will it will be a challenge. You have to think and deal with situations with more care.

monday night combat, yes or no?

Thinking about it myself. I played in the free weekend a while back and it was ok bit of fun and worth the price but the real problem is the community is supposed to be dead or very low.

Stalker and Deus Ex are no brainers indeed.

My math isn't great, but isn't it cheaper to buy the Cradle of Civ bundle and then add the other DLCs than to buy them separately?

Baranga

It does look that way and it turns out it indeed is cheaper only by a few pence but every little helps. I cheated by the way just added all the items to cart:P

I don't remember if that happened to me but Alpha Protocol is taking up 11.1GB in my steam folder.

[QUOTE="pcgamer_07"]

I didn't really give RUSE a look-in when it released or before that. Checked out some reviews, gameplay videos and tried the demo now. Enjoyed it but won't be getting it through the daily deal though. Amazon has it for a bit cheaper and its a steamworks game so I get the best of both worlds:D

Must be country differences. Ruse on Steam is $10.19 cents as opposed to $11.99 on amazon. Maybe i'm missing something.......

It indeed is country differences, I'm in UK so RUSE on Steam is £10.19 and on amazon £7.99

RUSE Amazon

i only bought alpha protocol today, sounded like a game worth checking out and had almost bought it a couple of times already. want to get frozen synapse too but, anyone else feel it should be 10 at most? it's concept and execution are just really basic. brilliantly basic but still basic and low budget. i mean, i spent less on the bad company pack and there i can really see where the work went. i'll just keep it wish-listed for now i suppose.

Be sure to give Alpha Protocol a chance, its very good but not the most polished of games. The tutorial and early stages don't make a great first impression and I actually started to regret my purchase when I started the game but once you unlock the three main regions it opens up and gets better.

Highly recommend Alpha Protocol and Trine. Excellent deals, really good games and very much worth those prices.

Did you do what i said? When the colour flashes you press the key that relates to the direction of the colour. Two sets of colours show up. WASD for left hand side and Arrow keys for right hand side.
