[QUOTE="pav50"]

It isnt really financially viable to keep supporting old multiplayer games thatwon't bring in extra income through DLC. However, peoples opinion of short-lived is going to differ- personally i only continue to play online functions of good multiplayer games for around 1/2 years after i get it, by which time i would have moved on to another game with good multiplayer ( i usually play shooters).

OT: Deangallop, is that your rottweiler or just a random avatar?

deangallop

Not my rottwieler he passed away about a year ago, looks very close tho.

Sorry to hear that- i was just curious because i just got as puppy rottweiler a few months ago, she's hard work but a really good guard dog already. Ever think about getting another one?

Although the developers should keep long time fans of the series in mind, it is their decision if they want to take a different style in their franchise - just because they moved the game towards a more stealth/action style rather than a pure stealth game doesnt mean they dumbed down the game, it means they want the game to appeal to a wider audience than just the fanboys who want you to become a pacifist unarmed lone agent :P. The story of the game has to match the gameplay mechanics aswell, using full stealth to match a story like in conviction is not practical.

Do people really find the 360 dashboard that jumbled- there are like 6 horizontal menus, each clearly named. How exactly are adverts thrown in your face if you dont go to the marketplace menu- you start off in the welcome menu, press up once and A once to start a game and if thats too long/complicated for some people :roll: there is a simple function to autostart games to skip the dashboard altogether. The only critisicsm of the whole thing is the requirement of an avatar, im really not 5 and dont need a virtual representation of myself to play a game do i ?.

Hopefully they atleast take into consideration the general disslikes of the community about the flaws of the MP ( bad spawning, commando, overpowered kill streaks). If they do, maybe MW3 might be a decent multiplayer game- its a bit optimistic but i would'nt call the franchise shovelware just yet.

First of all there are more multiplats that look better on the 360 than the ps3. You say you are trying to be unbiased but the fact that you keep saying the 360 has hit a technological wall when developers say there is more to come from the 360 (alan wake, crysis 2, reach) does seem to be biased. I do however agree that with all the talented dev's and exclusives they make on the ps3, its unlikely that the 360 will be able to catch up with the ps3 in terms of the amount of great looking games. I also believe that by the time that both systems are technically maxed out, it will be the ps3 that will be the graphics winner - but to think that we have already reached this with so many great looking games still to come is a bit premature.

Using a mouse instead of analogue sticks allows for a more precise aim in shooters so switching to a gamepad will predictably require some getting used to. LOL at the people saying this means console gaming is harder (like this is something to brag about)- isnt one of the aims of a controller to make movement and aiming more fluid/responsive and therefore easier :roll:
