I'll go against the grain and say physical still. I just prefer something tangible, something to hold in my hands and saying it's mine. Plus.. this is psychological but generally when I buy something digital I don't seem to appreciate it as much. It's like I paid $5 for a big game and I'll get around to it sometime and never do. But with a physical copy I always have it on the shelf and it garnishes my interest more over the years.

No native 1080p support and classic mode means no sale for me. These should be no-brainers.

I wouldn't personally. I think it's absolute crap for the time it's been on the market, and even crappier prices.

I'm ordering a meter and going to use the free HCFR software to calibrate my Panasonic UT50. It will be used exclusively for PC and console (360/PS3) gaming. I would like to know if I should use Rec 709 (HDTV) or sRGB. I'm assuming sRGB for all games but want to confirm that. If I used that.. wouldn't I need to set the PS3 to rgb full and not limited? But then again if the UT50 plasma isn't capable of this then it will convert the color space to limited and perhaps I should just stick with Rec 709 HD color space? If I need to use a different color space for PC and console then I'll do 2 separate calibrations and use different modes (Game for PC and Cinema for console) which is fine with me.

Note*: You will only have the option to play at 720p if you want 60 frames per second OR you can play at 1080p at a horrible 24 frames per second.

ShadowDeathX
Well that's no good. I won't be playing at 720p at the distance I sit from my 42". It won't look good unless 3D really improves things. 24 frames @ 1080p doesn't sound good either. I suppose it's more cinematic at this framerate but really... we're talking intense action games here that I would imagine ruin the experience. About my tv.. yeah I don't see it listed either but I also don't see any 2012 Panasonic tvs listed such as the ST/GT/VT50 series. You would think they would update that list. Makes me question my UT50. The UT50 is the low end model.. but it's the first time the UT supports 3D (I think) so I'm guessing that list needs updating and I'm good. I'll email Nvidia about that. Thanks for the info!

I hear what your saying. Fortunately (or unfortunately) Doom 3 is still my fav fps. I know some will be disturbed by that but I love anything by ID Software and D3 and Rage is at the top. So I'm gonna feel the need to try it out with 3D. Like I said I've never tried it but I have a 3DTV and still curious if it will be plug n' play once I upgrade my video card. If it's going to be hassle then forget it lol.

Waste of money, tried it on my 120hz monitor and returned the glasses promptly. Upto you though.

ShimmerMan
But it wouldn't be a waste of money to me since I already have a 3dtv and glasses from Panasonic. I just need to know if it'll work with what I already have once I upgrade my gpu or if I need to buy other stuff. In that case it may be a waste of money.

Yeah I'm getting a compatible gpu. So I take it I don't need to buy the Nvidia kit with glasses and can just use the ones I already have? This sounds simple. I'm amped because I wanna be ready for Doom 3 in 3D. Yeah I know it's an old game but it's still my fav.
