I guess the point i'm trying to make is that, I highly disagree with Mr. Hastings calling the Wii "just a fad". For a TRUE "hardcore" gamer such as myself, I need something more than pretty pictures to stay excited about a game or console. I'm sorry I haven't become complacent enough in my gaming to be satisfied by just better graphics.

given the fact it's just a few months after launch, Wii keeps me quite busy; first Wii Sports, than Zelda, now Madden 2006 + WarioWare...I remeber so well, when the PS2 launched, the only game I played more than a few hours for about a half year was Tekken Tag Tournament (surprisingly enough^^). Plus: I don't see any great games that are already out for PS3 (apart from the fact here in europe, the damn thing itself hasn't launched), save for Resistance, which might be a nice game, though I fear a very short one.
What the future might bring? It would be enough to mention SUPER MARIO GALAXY (which sure as hell will be freaking awesome), but Wii has so much more: good old nintendo franchises like Metroid + Paper Mario, third party stuff like FF:CC and the Suda-51 games and a lot of stuff that I yearn to hear more about, like Disaster, Sadness, Manhunt 2.
at least to me, Wii got of to a quick start and don't seem to slow down

Neither Scarface nor Godfather, but I'm curious bout Manhunt 2. Might turn out to be a heck of a game...I felt Manhunt and Wii would be a perfect match when the later was still called Revolution, so you bet I'll take a close look at that one^^
