[QUOTE="p4ddym"]The main thing is. The PS3 hasnt been "raped" by the 360 in terms of sales. The Ps3 is closing in on its 3rd anniversary and it has sold about the same amount of consoles as when the 360 was closing in on its third anniversary. People seem to overlook that fact.STurn21

[QUOTE="sexxxyboy"]i highly doubt it, i mean what does it expect the non-existant upcoming exclusives to save it?Dead-Memories
As long as I get my solid MP and co-op games, and my friends have 360's to play. It's here to stay for me. Exactly. If you play online and have friends that do too. It is friggin awesome when you get together and play coop or MP in Cod or something.
If PS3 was $299 from launch, they would've stood a chance. I feel bad for the people that wasted $600 bucks on the 60GB PS3.
Usually slim models don't come out until much later in the console life cycle (look at PSOne and PS2 Slim), so that's a huge hint that PS3 is almost done with its life cycle.

Not rly slim came out early because the costs of manufacturing fat PS3 is very high and people are complaing about it high price compared to its competitors.
Yea. And remember the PS2 had far less competition in the console market so it was thriving for a long time. 360 is a real alternative to PS3. The Ps2 didn't really have that in the same way. Competition is awesome though. All better for the consumer.

If it was $100 it would have been nice too. They run a business. They were covering themselves for the astronomical R&D costs.
[QUOTE="p4ddym"]Look. The PS3 is the better deal in general. Now that it is 299, it is even more of a better deal. You get a hell of a lot with it. Reliability, Bluray, Free online, WiFi and the fantastic games that are out now and several titles coming out in the coming months. And I think you have underestimated the sales of the PS3. PS3 has sold pretty damn well considering a delayed launch in North America and a double delayed launch in Europe, and of course the higher price etc. (Compared to 360 sales). Its pretty clear people want the PS3. With a lower price and the buzz of the PS3 slim, I think that it will sell well and hold its own against the 360.STurn21
I completely agree, but again I don't think that all of those things can make up for the rediculous amounts of money they lost for the past few years.
And I am positive that I am not underestimating the sales of the PS3. They got trounced by Microsoft and Nintendo.
You obviously haven't done your research because the 360 had sold around the same amount as the PS3 this time last year. So the PS3 has sold around the same amount of consoles as the 360 accounting for the launch dates. The Wii doesnt count. I own a Wii. Never play it. I have 10 friends who own a Wii. They never play it either.
