@SkamArtist It's not stealing because it's not the same crime. It's copyright infringement in Sweden, which is still a crime but a whole other crime, hence, not the same crime.

Unless it's actually defined as stealing where you come from (which I doubt), then it isn't.

@SkamArtist @nu1mlock Oh, I know it can hurt sales. All I'm saying is that it's not stealing. It's still a crime but it's a different crime.

@keech No, I've never said they're the same thing. I've only said that none of those are stealing.

@keech @nu1mlock @SkamArtist If someone was able to clone the money without me losing it then no, it's not stealing. Still illegal and still not something I would partake in. But it wouldn't be stealing.

Just like if someone was able to make a copy of my car. I would still have it so that someone would never have stolen it from me. It's not stealing. It's piracy but not stealing.

@SkamArtist @nu1mlock This is beside the point. The game is still in the hands of the developers so it hasn't been stolen. It's been pirated, but not stolen.

Again, I'm not for piracy, I despise it. I'm just saying it's not stealing.

@SkamArtist @nu1mlock Actually, in order to lose something you have to have it to start with.

@Infinite_Access @sabas10 No, it's not stealing. They're not losing money on a pirated copy. They might not get any income from it (although it is sometimes debatable since pirated copies can show up on youtube and give the game more publicity). It doesn't count as stealing if the person (or company) you "stole" it from still has it.

That being said, I always buy my games (350-ish for me and about 200 more for friends the last two and a half years) and I believe that if a game is worth playing it is also worth buying.

I'm just saying it's not stealing.

@Khasym @ChunkyDrawers It is possible that they do something like Steam does. I need a connection to activate the game and download it (obviously) but I can play every SP game in offline mode just fine.

That isn't really "always online" though, but then again, AODRM hasn't been confirmed and people can easily have been confused.

@billlabowski You do know that you won't get any Steam achievements, right? But perhaps you mean those few bonuses you can unlock from within uPlay.
