@JFERNANDEZ84 Well, I don't know about their ticket/chat support - I call them as it's a lot faster and I've received help instantly (worst wait time was 10 minutes). But like I said, that's the Swedish support, I can't speak for other countries.
Steam, on the other hand, takes 1-2 weeks to respond to my tickets. One time I had an issue with not being able to play a game and the reply I got from Steam after a week was a link on how to take screenshots on PC and Mac.
Other times they're just rude.
I have, however, received a refund for games three times, but it took 4 weeks for them to do so, whilst EA was able to do it within 5 minutes of starting the call. I've also received a free game from EA because of some issues I had with BF3, and also got to pick from any of EA's games when SimCity had issues since I already owned the games the offered.
@jmace1 Green Man Gaming had an even better deal. You didn't just get Bioshock Infinite and X-COM, you also got Bioshock 1 and a choice between Bioshock 2, Darkness 2, Mafia 2 and Civilization V.
That's on par and even better. One more game and a lot cheaper in Europe (48$ compared to 65$ on Steam - or 36€ compared to 50€ on Steam).
@JFERNANDEZ84 Actually, I'm starting to prefer Origin over Steam. Sure, I have my 360+ games on Steam and only 25 on Origin and Origin is lacking a lot of features. But at least they have a support that care and doesn't force you to wait three weeks for an irrelevant reply to a support ticket.
EA's support is amazing and one of the best I've ever had to deal with. The Swedish support, that is, cannot speak for other countries.
@jcnba28 @Zoza24 True, but this time the non-gamer already has a Wii and isn't interested in the clumpsy touch screen.
Wii sold well because its low price and especially its motion controls. "Everyone" thought it was fun. It's not any more. And those that purchased a Wii to "get up from the couch" already has a Wii. They're not interested in the Wii U.
@M-S-M-S At least EA has really great customer support (in Sweden, can't talk about other countries) while Valve's support is one of the worst I've ever had to deal with. Also Amazon has great support.
I contacted Amazon about SimCity and a refund. I got an answer within 2 hours and a full refund with my money on my account within 12 hours after that.
I'm still unable to play Aliens Colonial Marines on Steam (how good/bad it is is irrelevant) after 3 weeks and 3 days since I created the ticket and even longer since launch.
Last time I had issues with a game I got a reply with instructions on how to take screenshots on a PC and Mac. In my experience it takes several weeks to solve an issue with Valve, while I can just call EA's support and they'll fix my issues instantly.
@The-Neon-Seal @Deadly_Nemesis This. When a lot of games are being changed for more action and people seem to enjoy killing people, they wanted to reassure fans of the series by pointing out that they (hopefully) won't stray too far away from the originals.
