@snake3rules @granola_goodnes But the console itself it cheaper than the Playstation, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

@the_craig I do not disagree, no. The more gamers that gets to play a great game, the better. As long as the game is good and properly ported, then the developers/publishers will get more money.

That is why I dislike exclusives. All it does is keep people from playing their games. I would love to be able to play Gears of War in co-op with my friends on PC, would love to play God of War and would love to play ZombieU.

Hopefully, with the new consoles being based on PC architecture, it'll make it a lot easier for developers to create games for all platforms - without bad ports. And if they do, they'll see a big increase in sales on both platforms, no matter which platform it was intended for in the beginning.

@the_craig That link does not "somewhat confirm" Starbound, it only says that Chucklefish got a devkit. They are still 100% focusing on PC, but they have not ruled out consoles after a PC launch. "Not rules out" does not mean it will be coming to any console (including OUYA) though.

I'm guessing you're asking about my "numbers" from Super Meat Boy, in that case there's of course Google, but otherwise, here's a link where the developer of SMB says that the PC outselled Xbox within a month of release, even though Xbox had it exclusive for a month before: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/03/01/beefy-super-meat-boy-pc-outsells-360/ There are even more links in that article if you want more specifics.

@the_craig They have been ported to consoles but were PC exclusives. They still can't make enough money on consoles compared to PC. And Starbound has not been "somewhat" confirmed for OUYA, it's only been confirmed for Windows, Mac and Linux. Nothing else. Rumors does not count as confirmation.

The exception is of course Super Meat Boy, which was ported to PC from Xbox and it still made more money than on Xbox - within the first month on PC.

How is this an "expansion" and not a simple "few maps DLC"? An expansion would take single players on a new journey, or - even better in my opinion (as I love co-op) - would introduce co-op into the game on these new locations.

New maps for multiplayer? Not an expansion. At all.

@the_craig @Halloll "any PC only game don't make the same kind of profits"? Tell that to Minecraft, Terraria, soon-to-be-released-Starbound ($1.3M+ pre-orders) and Super Meat Boy as a few examples.
